Shopper So with that being said(that it is a stiffer material) is it harder to put on and take off verses the neosport 7mm?
LARRY S very easy to put on and take off. Very warm
BARRY J I used it on a lobster dive. dove 16 dives in 3 days. Had no problems getting it on and off. I used lycra socks, made the legs slip in better.
RUSSELL W The suits Johns are easy to get in and are comfortable. When you add the jacket it becomes a little stiffer but remember you now have 7mm johns with a 7mm jacket on top of it =14mm .It is warm in cold water. Getting out of it is a little harder than getting out of a back zip jump suit. Your dive buddy can be a big help.
MAURICE S The short answer is no. I have found the Neo-Sport Waterman 7mm easier to get on on off than my Mares 6.5 mm semi-dry.
Pam T Yes. It is stiff and does not fit me very well. But I am 5 feet tall and am going to modify the length of sleeves and legs before I wear it again. I expect it to be easier for me then.
ROBERT P It actually goes on and comes off easy. Very good suit.
GORDON R Purchased the John and Jacket a year ago for myself and my son. We both actually found it easier to don that a standard 7mm full wetsuit. The john went on easy and the straps that go over the shoulder secured nicely. Also the Jacket went on easy as well. We did find out that u would need a little extra weight do to the thickness of the two on together.

CARLETON B My understanding is the waterman is a heavier less flexible neoprene and it is. Have done three dives with the suit and it is very warm. Coldest water temp so far is 55 degrees. Only issue is trying to hold your head back while looking up is a strain with a 7mm hood on.
KRAIG H I purchased the Waterman for gold dredging. I believe the Waterman is designed more for working conditions than sporting activities. It was an excellent value, held up very well and service was prompt. No complaints.

CARL M Simply put the waterman suit is a lower quality wetsuit. The material is 7 mm neo but is harder to the touch and feel than the Neosport regular suit. Also the cut is a little different. It is worth the few extra dollars to upgrade to the better suit, but if you are on a budget the Waterman is still a good bang for the buck.

GORDON R These are definitely for a male. I bought a xl and a lg for my son. Very comfortable and easy to don.

JONATHAN H It is constructed to fit men. The chest area is not molded to accommodate busty ladies, but I suspect it could fit females requiring less spacious accommodations. My recommendation is buy this with the jacket. It is cheaper to buy them together.

OLIVER F Bought one, like it fine for the money, While not specifically marked, seems designed for a male. I would say mostly in hips .
