Shopper Can this shirt be machine washed or hand washed to protect the UV shield?

MICHAEL M I don't believe there are washing instructions on it, but I have washed mine many times and it continues to protect me from sunburn.
DEBORAH E I have machine washed this shirt and the UV shield is still effective.
ALICE R We mostly hand wash it but occasionally machine wash it in cold water and hang dry. It's been fine.
PETER W I have had no trouble washing this both by hand (i.e while traveling and using the bathroom sink to soak and then hang to dry and back at home using the washing machine). Its a great shirt, unlike a rash guard that is typically tight and form fitting, this is loose, more like a long sleeve tee. Had this for a while can't say its lost any spf effectiveness.
