Shopper WOILD THIS KEEP MY DAUGHTER WARM IN 66 DEGREE WATER?
YORK M This suit would probably keep you daughter warm in 66 degree water but I cannot guarantee it because kids vary so much in how easily they get cold. I have two boys and these suits keep both a lot warmer than they normally would be. One of my boys seems to never get cold in the suit while the other one, who is very skinny, still sometimes gets cold.
TANYA K Your daughter's comfort would probably depend on her internal thermometer. I purchased two 2.5mm shorties. One for my daughter (aka Ms. Alaska) and the other for my son (Mr. Florida). They have only used them in the Caribbean (where the water temperature is 80+ degrees). My daughter overheats in her shorty while my son remains comfortable. I hope this helps.
JOSEPH K we bought one for our daughter in spring '09 and it works fine. however, since the legs & arms are exposed, the suit won't provide insulated warmth in really cold temps as full suits would. our daughter's worn the Jr. Shorty in beaches with colder temps and those with much warmer ones (Southeast Asia).
JOSHUA B NO!! It is best to get a 3mm full body suit if you will be in that cool of water, or even a 5mm depending on how old she is. Our daughter only wears this suit when in water that is around 77 degrees.
LAWRENCE L We use these here in Hawaii during the summer. During the winter, my kids prefer the full wetsuits. If she is skinny, I would say no.
ROBERT L Yes, I believe so. My son is somewhat sensitive to the colder temps and has not shivered or expressed any complaints since I bought it for him.
