JAMES S The frame on the mask can be pried apart to change lenses. It was easiest to start at the lower outside edge and work around one lens and then the other. A plastic pry tool was included in the lens kit for prying this off. The point of attach is the outer line between the front frame and the side frame area. The two parts are a different colors unless you have black or clear mask. Since the plastic is pretty tough it isn't to hard to do this without damaging the edge of the plastic parts if you work slowly and carefully. I wouldn't use a metal tool to do this unless it was very smooth edged. Great Mask and the lenses work pretty good. There is a little issue of eye spacing not being quite right on this universal fit lens. A custom placed lens is better. But certainly works to allow you to read gauges and camera settings

MYRON P I can't post a link so go to Youtube and punch up this video - "Scuba Mask Prescription Lenses - Install lenses in Dive Mask" This video is a HUGE help. It isn't a Mares mask they're working with but the principle is the same. This is the video I used when I put in my lens. It's VERY easy. GO FOR IT !! These lenses are GREAT !!!

DANIEL H If you do a search for Mares Lenses on YouTube you will see a number of videos on how to do it, but I couldn't make it work. If you mail the mask and lenses back to Leisure Pro and pay a modest fee (I think it was $10) and the return postage, they will do it for you. My wife is most happy with her mask and lenses. Hope this helps.

MICHAEL M The lenses should have come with a small plastic tool. On the exterior of the mask, there is a hard plastic frame that holds the lenses in place. That frame has small slots in it. Place the small wedge end of the tool into those slots to snap the frame off of the mask. Once you have it started, just work your way around the lens until it comes off. Swap in the new lenses and snap the frame back in place by hand.

DEBRA F My mask came with instructions and a plastic tool to remove the frame and swap out the lenses.

GARY A It's been 5 years since I did this, but you "bravely" need to remove the inner plastic insert on the front of the mask. On my mask, it is the piece that has the Mares logo (right above the nose). A tool should have came with the diopters which will help you remove it but I don't remember exactly where the tool is inserted, it wasn't obvious but I didn't hurt the mask trying. Once the insert is removed it should be self-explanatory. :)

EDWARD M You should find a small black plastic tool with the lenses. This tool or any thin blade-like tool will slip between the two pieces of plastic that holds in the lens. My mask has blue and clear pieces. Start on the longest section and slip the tool between the two pieces and work your way around, once you get about half way the whole retainer will pop out. The lens will come right out of the skirt. Be careful to seat the new lens in the skirt. Mine took a couple of tries to get it even and fully seated. Last step is to replace the "retainers". They will snap into place with thumb pressure. BTW. I love the lens and mask! Good Luck!

WAYNE W Hi, My wife and I both have these masks - it's relatively easy to remove and separate the plastic mask skirt that holds in the lenses (there are about 8 small plastic tabs holding it together), then insert the new lens glass and snap back together. I think Leisure-Pro will also do it for you for a small fee (like $10) if you are uncomfortable taking mask apart yourself. I do recommend you get a squish resistant plastic box to hold mask while travelling in order to prevent damage during travel. I also recommend that when diving, you hold the mask with you instead of letting it go onto boat with tank and BCD and getting stepped on - better safe than sorry. DAN T These lenses are awsome. For the first time in several years, my photographs are in focus and better exposed because I can now see the camera properly. However, I purchased a mask at the same time and had the lenses pre-installed. The original lenses packed in envelopes with the mask. Sorry I can't help, but maybe you'll feel better knowing how happy you'll be when you get to use them. For me, it was like a breath of fresh air under water. Sorry I couldn't help.
