Nils J Thank You all! I think I will use this to attach my octo, and as a plus it also frees up a D-Ring on the BCD. I just wanted to know that you can pull the reg out fast in case a buddy needs to get to it fast... so thank you!
GREG G This necklace is PERFECT for your spare ocopus regulator. That is exactly what my wife and I use it for on every dive. Since it is in the safety triangle your buddy can get to it fast. We also use Doctors earplugs and the necklace is a perfect attachment of the filament holding the earplugs from washing away should they come out of your ears during the dive.
JOHN B You could certainly use it for the purpose you are asking about. I personaly would not want a stressed diver grabbing for my octo so close to my primary. I attach my primary to it (a zip tie is required to connect the hose to the rubber) so that if it gets ripped from me it only goes a few inches.

I've been using Manta regulator necklaces for years they work great! The answer to both of your questions is YES.
JEFFREY B I believe its mainly for holding your primary regulator near your mouth, but i suppose you could loop it throught a d-ring for your octopus. It does hold a regulator very securely.
KEITH P Yes, You can attach your octo to this (I bought the yellow one..)...Regulator can be pulled very easily if needed in an emergency situation. I hope this helps....
