Shopper is it flexible enough for swimming?
MAUREEN C Yes, flexible enough for swimming.
CHRISTY C It is flexible enough for swimming. It provides warmth and is very comfortable. True to size.
RENEE C Yes, very flexible. Easy to put on and off. With a fleece or skin underneath it, is equivalent to a 3mil suit but alot more flexible.

It is very flexible and thinner than any neoprene suit. It is a little thicker than a skin. I have only dove with it. As a under layer and as a standalone. I would think you would be fine to swim in it.
AMY G It feels like wind stopper fleece. As long as the size is large enough, you should be able to raise your arms above your head. But it is very soft and flexible. Not as stretchy as unlaminated fleece.

DAWN R Yes - It is a very soft suit that you could use for just about anything in the water. The fabric is much nicer than a typical liner & much warmer without being too heavy. Depending on where you are swimming and the type of swimming you plan to do, you might be too warm.

nancy s can you tell me more about size and how to decide between say a siz 6, 8 or 10? I'm 5 ft 6 and weight 133 and am fairly trim. Hate cold water. My other wetsuit is v. unweildly and hard to put on, especially without a skin.
Plan to snorkel in water that's about 78 degrees but love warm water.

I am 5'6" and weigh 136. I went with the size 10. Fits fine.
JENNIFER V I ordered a 10 and found it to be accurate to the size chart. I am 5'3" about 135 and curvy. It was perfect for me, but I was diving in 85 degree water.
JOHN L Suit ran small. Sounds like you could wear the 8. I returned it and purchased a Henderson. The suit was also a bit short in the legs and arms.
Myrna N what is the mm on this wet suit?
MICKEY G We have not yet dived with this suit----but for years we dived with a
similar suit and it was the equivanant of 3 mm. I am sure that the
Lavacore suit is also 3 mm----and was also told this by
Australian divers who were useing the suit. We are going on
our next dive trip to Wakatobi(Indonesia) with it and I am sure
it will be all we need. I really like the front zip feature as it is
very easy to put on and take off.
HEATHER H If you're asking about warmth I'd say it's about equivalent to a 2mm maybe a 3mm wetsuit. It is definitly easier to get off and on than a traditional wetsuit. Outer material is lycra and looks like a skin and the inner is almost like a polartec material. It is physically thicker than a skin and is not as stretchy so it is a bit more difficult to put on than a skin.
JOHNNY L it is not a wet suit , it is a skin , seems well made, protects skin adds slight warmth, used for diving bonaire like temps 78-81 degrees.
LISA S Probably closer to a 3 mm or a little warmer. I have worn it as a layering suit for added warmth on cooler dives. It is sleek enough material that it worked under my 7 mm.
CYNTHIA B Hi Myrna - It's thinner than a 3mm - almost like 1.5/2. The best way to imagine it as an outer lycra skin with a nice fuzzy insert (all bonded together). I used it instead of a 3mm in Roatan and was very comfortable. I would consider it a good choice under a 5mm or a dry suit for colder waters, and I currently use the hood/vest under a 7mm with great results. I hope that helps!
