DOREEN S What is the inseam in the small size? I'm 5'3", wt 115# with a 30" waist. My men's O'Neil shorts are a size med and the waist is tight.
STEVE J Can't speak for a size small, but, an X large size has a 9" inseam. I would buy a size larger than you normally wear, these run on the small side.
LARRY H I am sorry, but I do not have the small size, and I don't know if my XL would be the same. But, I thought inseam was measured from the crotch to the bottom of the shorts or pants, and I don't know how that would impact waist being tight. Maybe I'm just confused.
DOREEN S Sorry I wasn't clear. I just mentioned the waist size because I found it hard to believe a mens size medium would have a tight waist for me....I'm not a big person! Just wondered if I should get a small or a medium. By the size chart it sounds as though I would be a small.

JEFF H I am 5'8" and typically wear a 32" waist, although a 31" would be fine usually. I ordered the small, but they were too tight, so I ended up with the medium. They fit fine. I don't have them available to measure the inseam for you, but they are the same length as my neoprene shorts and my polyester-type rash guard shorts. Fairly long but right. BTW, all the lavacore stuff takes FOREVER to dry. Love the feel, but not putting on damp shorts the next morning... I have multiple pairs of shorts for that reason (I wear them instead of a bathing suit under my wet suit for diving)

BARBARA S No, sand does not get into them.
MARIO S It's close and slim to the body and fits more to the body than slim swim wear. However if you try hard it finally gets into it. It's the perfect wear for warm water diving, easy to get on and keeps some heat to the body. Enjoy.
STEVE J If you wear them to a beach, yea sand will get in them. If you're wearing while scuba diving I doubt it.
Aloy D what size should a male 29-31 waist be wearing ?
MARIO S Hello M is fine. It's so easy to use and fits comfortable.
STEVE J I not certain, I'm a 36" waist and bought a large, maybe try the medium if they don't fit return it for another size.
BARBARA S My husband has a 35" waist. He got the XL and they fit really welll.
Nate B 42-44 male waist, I don't see a sizing chart with these. What size fits?
JEREMIAH P These are awesome shorts but sizing is a little tricky. Regular pants I wear 36's and they tend to be a little loose, I ordered the XL shorts and they fit perfectly. I didn't see a sizing chart on the site but one came with the shorts themselves, according to them XL is 38-42 but they're snug on me at 36. According to their chart XXL is 40-44, 3XL 42-46, 4XL 44-48. I would recommend getting at least one size up.

BARBARA S The shorts were great: good quality and fit perfect. I ordered the size I normally order for my husband and no problem with size.
Shopper Is the this material very thin like a lycra Speedo or is it thicker like wetsuit material?
SARAH P The fabric has the feel and hand of lycra but is thicker, perhaps has thick as a 3mm neoprene. So it's thick and stretchy, but not stiff. And it doesn't have the rubbery smell of neoprene.
