Intova's White Balance Wrist Band can help in this needed organization. This photographer's tool includes a white balance board, signal mirror, 2-double sided writing slates and a pencil. All items are conveniently carried in sleeves with retractable cords on an adjustable Velcro/neoprene wristband. Set your white balance and take notes on your photos and other dive parameters.

Most digital cameras feature automatic white balance whereby the camera looks at the overall color of the image and calculates the best-fit white balance. However these systems are often fooled especially if the scene is dominated by one color, say green, or if there is no natural white present. Prior to taking a shot which does not have a dominate white object in the image you can point your camera at the white balance target card. The camera will then use this reference when making the actual shot.
