HAZEL W I loved the pink flower design and needed a 3mm for diving in Fiji. I ordered a size 14 and I'm 5'5". I found it to be a little long in the legs, but it fit well everywhere else.
Leslie B Hi I just bought this suit and have a question as too how snug it should be. It fits comfortably thru chest and torso are but hips are a little large. Was easy to get into just wondering if I should try smaller size?
JAMES I Wet suits should fit snug. As you progress from thinner to thicker mm, they should be a little harder to get in to. If there are any gaps, the water will not be held close enough to your skin to become heated and therefore will not keep you warm in those areas. If you can, find a local shop and try different sizes to find the right fit. Then exchange yours with Leisure Pro, if needed. If not, you can send yours back for another size, but that might cost time & postage. If it isn't comfortable and fits well, you won't be comfortable diving.
STEPHEN S My wife is almost 5'6" and 118 lbs. I purchased size 8 for her. She has muscular legs so the bottom is difficult to pull on but from the waist down her suit is form fitting. She is slim so the top is a little large--not quite form fitting.
For Leslie, if the top is perfect then I don't think you should get smaller size but if the top has some "wiggle room" then perhaps you should consider one size smaller. It's a tough call; you have tomake a decision based upon how form fitting your suit top is.
My preference from a male viewpoint is that I'd rather have a good fitting top then hips and legs.
PENNYS A You suit should be snugged. Contact leisure pro customer service and talk with them. I love mine!
KATHY M You might try a size smaller... It shouldn't be loose as that would defeat the purpose of the wetsuit i.e. it needs to be snug to keep you warm. There will be some "give" to the wetsuit as you wear it and it stretches out a little. If it's that "easy to get into" you may have a size too large. If you get the smaller one and you decide it's too tight, you can alway return to Leisure Pro for a refund. I usually order two sizes if I'm not sure and there is never a problem returning them.
KATHLEEN M It is quite stretchy and easy to get into, so a smaller size might work for you. Good luck.
TIMOTHY C I would suggest that you try one size smaller. This wetsuit is a little snug to get into but keeps you nice and warm. If you don't have a dive trip within a next few week, try a smaller one to see which one fits you better since LeasurePro does not charge for returned shipment.
LAURA F I would try the smaller size and see if it is too snug thru the chest and torso. I think it depends on each individual in how snug is comfortable. I have tried snug wetsuits and ones that are a little loose and I prefer a little loose. If you go too loose you lose the purpose of the wetsuit so go for comfort. Hope this helps!!!
LINDA D It should be so tight that you can hardly believe you got into it. :) Yes, a smaller size. Literally, if you can get it on at all, it is not too tight.
EMILY P I am sure mine was tighter in the hips. I am more endowed on bottom than top. I don't remember ever having a lot of trouble getting into my suit so you might want a tighter fit for warmth. Or maybe consider getting a mans because your hips are small? Happy diving!
Eileen M Hi I just purchased this in a 8S I'm hoping that means a shorter length but not a shorty wetsuit Is this a full wetsuit?
JOANELL D The wetsuit is the long version and not a shorty. However, it just may be that the one I purchased in 2009 felt like a 1.5 or 2mm thickness from the first dive in it to my last dive only a month ago. It really reals like a 1.5 or 2 mm at the most. This has been since the first dive that I noticed that difference. My advice is that if you were to buy the wetsuit, immediately compare it with other Name brand's 3 mm to appreciate the difference.
STEPHEN S I purchased this for my wife in 2009 in regular size 8. She is 5' 51/2" and weighs 118 lbs. It is a FULL BODY suit with room up top since my wife is very slim and tight and a little difficult to put on over her calves since is has very muscular legs. Her legs are long versus her whole body length. She said that the leg length is good for her. Overall. she is pleased with the suit. It keeps her warm for temps approximately 77 degrees and higher.

I think you are correct in thinking 8S stands for short body length and not a "shorty" style. I bought this regular sized 3 mm for my wife and she says it fits great and is easy to get on and off. And Henderson is a quality company.

CASSANDRA S This is a full length wetsuit. The S just indicates a shorter length for a more petite diver I believe for someone 5'4 or shorter.
LINDA D Hi. The S means it is a full suit, but is for shorter people, like jeans of a regular size that come in shorter lengths if you need it.
I'm average height (5'5") and wear this suit in the non-S size, and definitely wouldn't want this any shorter, so if you are an average height, you may want to rethink the S size.
But, it is a full wetsuit, which was your question. BTW, if you get the fit right, it's a great one; you'll enjoy it. Hope this helps.
TIMOTHY C 8S should mean the full suit with a shorter length as 8T means the full suit witha longer length.

Lori A I'm 160 lbs and 5'5" with bust 38", waist 32 hips 40". what size do you recommend?
HAZEL W You're a little smaller than me, so I'd recommend maybe a 12 for you. I found it to be very comfortable, though a little long for me in the legs, and it's my first 3mm so I don't have much to compare it to, but I like this wetsuit a lot. I wore it in Fiji, where water temps were 78-80 and had no issues. I hope this helps!
STEPHEN S I purchased this item for my wife. She is 5'6" with a slim build. She weighs 120 lbs. and has muscular legs so I purchased a size 8 which is difficult to pull up her legs but the rest of suit is fairly form-fitting and maybe a little loose on top. My wife who is a size 4 for regular clothes has slim hips. I would estimate that Lori needs at least size 12 and probably a 14 or 16.
CINDY S This suit adapts very well to a curvy figure, I love it. I am 5ft 11 and larger than the inches and weight listed for size 16 and it fits me perfectly, not at all too tight. Choose a size that is close to your measurements but not bigger for sure.

TIMOTHY C I have purchased several wet suits online and find that one size does not fit me everytime. The size also varies from one company to another. The best way to ensure that the wet suit will fit you is to go to a local dive shop and actually try them on. Once you find the correct size for the wet suit you are looking for, order them online.
LAUREN L I am 135lbs, 5'8", 34" bust, 27" waist and I got a size 8 and it fits perfect. I am a 4-6 in normal clothes so it's a couple sizes up. I have worn an 8 in all suits I have tried on. Hope this helps!
