MaryEllen T What temperature is this suit rated for?
RICHARD J MaryEllenT,
Wetsuits are like sleeping bags as far as 'ratings' go. It all relates to one's cold tolerance and comfort level.
I've personally dove 52 degree water in a 7mm. in the past.
Was I comfortable? ...not really.
If I were buying a 7mm steamer suit, my personal take would be that I'd be using it in the mid-60's and up.
Further (a.k.a. "important"): Fit is more important than Thick. You'll be warmer in a suit that fits better over one that is thicker. A thick suit with a river running down your back is not going to be warm.
Sorry for the long delay in this response - just got back from a diving trip.

According to here: 50 to 60 degrees for 7mm Jump
They won't let me put in a link to information you need. You might have to google it if doesn't go thru. I put spaces in the link so it might go thru.
ROBERT W Temperature ratings are never given it is considered subjective to the individual and the wetsuit. For me whether I dive wet at all becomes a question at 50*F. Before purchasing a drysuit I logged a number of clder dives but was forced to limit my dive times if not it would take too much time to recover for a second dive.
As for this particular model although Quantum Stretch give you the advantage of better fit and the associated control of water flow the stretch also makes it more compressible so in the final analysis it probably isn't going to keep you as warm as a standard 7mm that doesn't compress as much if it also fits well. It's a trade off of the material type but if it is warm enough for your intended use it may be more comfortable. The other trade off of this material is how long it will last as it isn't as resilient as standard neoprene materials.
STEVEN H My wife has used this suit to dive quarrys and lakes in and around Michigan and Indiana in water temps around 60 degrees and has been comfortable in it . I have the same suit and have dived in water temps down to 43 and could feel the cold but was comfortable. I hope that this has been informative and answered your question.
