Shopper What is the main differences between the DC1 and the DC2, both are on the same price range, DC2 seems more futuristic but any other differences regarding performance, features, etc.. ?
THOMAS P The main difference is that the DC1 can swivel while the DC2 doesn't. It depends what you want out of diving. If you want to run doubles or sidemount, having a first stage that can swivel will make routing hoses a little easier. However, that's usually based on what you want. I have the DC2 and have no issues with it. This regulator performs very well. Also, some might argue that a first stage that swivels can be a potential failure point. Again, it's up to you and your diving beliefs. Best of luck. Can't go wrong with the Hollis regs.
JOHNATHON B The DC1 first stage has all the low pressure ports mounted on a swivel that rotates 360* about the axis of the regulator. This adds convenience as well as flexibility with the hoses. The DC2 does not have the swivel and in theory is a higher performance regulator since your breathing gas does not have to make an extra 90* turn. I have the DC2 and it is a great first stage. I also have the DC1 for sidemount setups. I have taken them both to 130ft, and do not notice a difference in performance between the two models. I would recommend either based off of your preference.
JOSEPH M The DC1 works great on deep dives I have not tried to DC2
ANDREW G I honestly can't say for sure what the main difference is other than the swiveling turret and body I don't know. I have the 212 and have never had any problems with it. Good rule of thumb is the more moving parts there are the higher the chance of somthing going wrong. Be smart about it buy the DIN version and a converter to YOKE. If you travel you can use whatever without taking it to a shop and being switched.
Shopper Does this connect to DIN or Yoke?
JACOB C The DC2 212 I have is a yoke. When I asked Leisure Pro they said they only carry the yoke version. Hollis does list the DC2 212 on there web site as available in both configurations

MICHAEL J M Mine came as a yoke, but the one in this link is a DIN, if you go by the picture. Better contact LP to make sure...
ANDREW G It depends on which one you pick When you check out. But think about it before you buy the YOKE if you live in the U.S. I would get the DIN like I did and just get the YOKE converter, if you leave the U.S. you will almost certainly have to use a DIN tank. So just avoid the hassle of having a shop convert your first stage and get the DIN then a yoke converter you can just screw on. Problem solved and it only cost you like $30-$35 once for the converter. Another thing while I'm at it this thing will free flow like crazy at shallow depth if you have it set to dive and as sensitive as it can be so don't turn it all the way over for the first 15-20 ft. Crazy easy breathing though

RANDY K The ad should probably specify. If it does not I would assume yoke since 95% of American sold regulators are yoke. If you get the wrong one I'm sure they'll replace it no questions asked.
THOMAS P You can get the first stage in either a DIN or Yoke. I got mine with a DIN first stage and purchased a Yoke adapter. I have the best of both worlds. Great regulator!
JOHN R The DC212 I ordered has a DIN fitting, however on the leisure pro site there is a the same regulator with a yoke fitting.
