Shopper Why Did You Choose This?
THOMAS K I bought these in US size 13 at the same time I bought their XS Scuba counterpart in 12. I wear 13 tennis shoes. The 13 Akonas were way too big and the XS Scuba 12's are even bigger than I prefer. I would probably need 11. When buying any neoprene socks, if you don't have time to wait to reorder a different size, order a couple of sizes, figuring the margin of error on the small side, then return the pair you don't want.
Shopper Is there any grip to the bottom of them like the XS sock has?

ARNOLD S No. There is no tread on the bottom of the sock, but they do have enough padding for comfort.
Marilyn S The bottoms are smooth. No grip. Nice pair of socks though! Very comfortable!
SAMUEL B No grip but I have no complaints about the socks. In fact I own a second different brand of sock and prefer the Akona. The Akona have held up very well and I've found that I like to take them off between dives because they are so to take off and put back on.

KEN M These are in men's sizes. I ordered a 10 and it fits/works great. I also ordered a pair for my daughter and had to convert them to man size. My daughters is on back order.
ARNOLD S To the best of my knowledge, they are manufactured in men's sizes only. So women should probably order one size smaller than their actual size. I did so for my wife and they were fine.
Howard C These 2 mm neoprene socks are uni-sex.
Pros- easy to put on and take off; durable; basic black matches everything; perfect for foot fins
Cons - does not reach leg of wet suit so leaves an inch of bare skin at ankle;

CRAIG J I believe that they are men's sizes. Mine were sized perfectly for me as size 11. I wear a size 11-1/2 shoe and I wanted them to be a snug fit.
Howard C I think the sizes are more or less unisex because the material is very elastic and expandable, that is it will fit the form of your foot if the size is "close enough". And the material is very thin, so it won't feel too tight, or too loose, especially with a fin over it.
KEN M The chart is in mens sizes. I ordered them and assumed they were mens. I have used them several times and they work great.
KENDRA W They are men's sizes. Order 2 sizes smaller for women's.

male and whatever size i ordered fit. I used them
with boogie board fins and they are very comfortable.
THOMAS K Mens, but they run big.. I wear 13-wide tennis shoes and these in 13 were way too big. Buy your size and the next two sizes smaller and see what you like best and send back the others...

CRAIG J I ordered the same size as my shoe size (11 1/2) The socks were a good fit when new and still are although they have stretched a little. I have a wide foor (D) so I felt that they might be snug at first. If your foot is narrow, then maybe a size 10 would be a better fit.
PETER B You should be fine with a size 10 they do stretch and give a little.
