alan p how deep can you take this product. can you use it for scuba diving or just swimming?
JULIUS G The o- ring seal and control buttons looks to be robust but I think the deepest you can down with this would be 10-15 fee t( I have not gone down with it not more than 10ft while picking up stuff at the bottom of the pool).
I use it just for swimming laps.
KENNETH G UPDATE: In the "Features" section of the product page, it says "Submersible to 12' (3.6 meters) underwater."
To address Corrie's comment: you have to make sure the O-ring is free from any debris. I use a small amount of silicone on the O-ring to help get a good seal.
KENNETH G Swimming only. I don't have the box anymore so I'm not sure what depth it's rated for, but I wouldn't go any deeper than 3m. The unit seals fairly well, but I wouldn't trust it to maintain a good seal under significant pressure.
CORRIE H I can't recommend this product for any water use as I tried to use it during lap swimming and it leaked. It destroyed my iPod. It was the second time I used it.
