Questions about this item:
Shopper Does the console have a spot on the back where I can insert an analog depth gauge?
ROBERT R The back is really not set up to hold another guage. It's possible you'll fiond a way to do it but it's not going to be a drop-in.
Bob
CHARLES P Unfortunately not. My wife and I have had these for approx 2+ years, 50+ rec dives and are completely happy with them. The computer gives you constant depth readings. After your dives, you can download everything to your computer and review your profile.
WIth some ingenuity, duct tape and zip ties, I'm sure you could engineer a mount for your analog guage.
PHILLIP H Yes...I put a compass on mine.
PAUL C Dear shopper,
That is a great question and a very good idea. Unfortunately I'm not sure that you can.
I would suggest either going to the dive shop in person and maybe a dive master could answer that or by trial and error.
There are what appears to be four sensor holes on the back which might affect the function of the unit. But there is also arch bands that might would work keeping space between the two and allow you a way to attach it.
Without the size and design of the depth gauge in question it would be difficult to answer.
Sorry, I could not offer more help to you! I do hope you figure it out because it is a great idea!
Paul
Vivian C Can I get the pressure gauge in bar instead of psi?
ADAM W Looks like you can. Check out model CG3909M. The image shows the pressure gauge in psi, but the details say it reads in bar.
I used this console (in psi) for a week of diving in Bonaire and it worked great. This is a great value for a mid-level diver.
Vivian C Thanks for you replies.
Colin - most of Europe and all of Australia used bar not PSI.
COLIN C I don't know if you can, but you should probably have your pressure gauge in the same unit of measure that your likely dive buddies have. PSI is nearly universal and is easily communicated by hand signals.
BARBARA G Vivian, this computer is also available in metric.
Shopper Does the console have space for a compass on the back?
LeisurePro S Sorry, unfortunately a compass cannot be added to this console. If you'd like, you could check out a hose mounted compass like this.
