RICKY G I have 3 underwater camera/video sets. trays are too expensive and I make my own. I use 1 inch wide aluminum bar and bend the shape I want. A minor file down on the end and the Fantasea arm slips on. I get them from my local hardware store. Hence I can several configurations adjusted my way based on where in teh world I am diving and night or day. There are many home made setups online and I use a variety of lights and strobes.

MARY D No. Ikelite does not make anything compatible with YS style mounting systems anymore, therefore YS style mounting systems are not compatible with Ikelite products. I called and asked a while back, when I ordered a G12 housing from them. They recommended contacting Ultralite Systems, a company that makes strobe arms.

STEVE S The Fantasea tray/flex-arm mount and the Ikelite flex-arms use incompatible mounts. With the Ikelite system, the first "ball" is hard-mounted via internal screw/nut assembly. Once assembled, the first ball remains fixed to the tray - the light is detached by separating adjacent ball-segments on the arm. The Fantasea uses a quick connect/disconnect mount that requires a mount block/receptacle (attached via 4 flush mount screws) on the tray. The light and the complete arm are detached by loosening a single lock-nut. A person with fabrication knowledge/skills/tools might get them to interchange, but it wouldn't be worth the hassle.

BORIS P Not sure what you mean - are you trying to string two arms together to make them longer? If so, I wouldn't advise it, because this arm isn't rigid enough to support such an endeavor. Out of the water, this thing already flops over from my big (Sea&Sea YS-120) strobes; in the water, it's OK but if there were a strong current, these would probably flop back, to say nothing of making them even longer. I suggest you get thin straight-arms with joints if you want longer spread for your strobes.
