Enriched Air Diving sometimes called "Nitrox" is another of PADI's Specialty Courses available to the certified diver. Enriched Air Diving can open up new worlds to the certified diver, if you enjoy deep diving it will increase your bottom time, if you are a hunter it will allow you to hunt longer and deeper, if you're a photographer you can take more picture on ever dive, whatever you do underwater nitrox can make it a longer and even safer diving. Enriched Air Diving uses a higher oxygen content then normal air. You may remember from your Open Water Course that air is approximately 21% oxygen. By increasing the oxygen (32to36%) you lower the nitrogen content. This means that you are absorbing less nitrogen and can extend your bottom times, Great Ha!
