KATHLEEN K These boots are great! I wear sz 10 men's sneaker/11 women's shoe. I bought men's sz 10 and they fit great. I have flat feet and these boots actually have some arch support in them. I wear them for diving, snorkeling and canoeing!
I don't know about the fins you asked about, but the three of us in my family all use these boots with the Mares Quattro fins.

I wear another type of fin that features an tapered open toe. I had since switched to the TUSA 5mm Imprex boot with similar design features and lines as the Deep See model. In order for that boot to fit into my fins, I had to modify the toe hole in the fin by paring away some of the rubber to allow the boot to slip forward. These types of dive boots feature thicker soles so you might want to take that into consideration and check with TUSA about fin/boot compatibility. If their 5mm Imprex fits then the Dee See model should also fit.

JAMES R I also wear a size 11.5 and the 12's were a perfect fit. They will fit in your fin just fine. I do not know what size your wife would wear.
JOANNE W Probably order a 7 for your wife and a 12 for you. Don't know about the fit in your fins.
SANDY R Size 11.5 should take a size 12 boot. 7.5 should take the 8 boot. This gives you toe room.
The soles on these boots are great for protection because they are quite thick. However; the thickness of the soles can be an issue with fins.
I wear an 11 boot and take an XL Oceanic Vortex 12 fin. My dive buddy wears an 8 boot and takes a "Regular Oceanic Vortex 12 fin. The Vortex 12 fins have a large enough foot pocket to accommodate the boot.
I would definitely "try" the boot in the foot pocket of any fin I intended to use.
I cannot specifically answer your question regarding whether the boot would fit inside the foot pocket of the fins you mentioned.
Paul B I am looking for a pair of zip boots to wear over 5mm waders to use with my old power plana fins, size large. I use cheap aqua sox, but want something that works better to keep out sand and gravel. Does anyone know if a size 11 or 12 in this style would fit comfortably inside my old mares fins?

These boots are quite thick soled. Therefore; they lend themselves to a very tight fit inside fins. I use Oceanic Vortex 12 fins/size XL. My boot size is 11.
Years ago I had the fins you are asking about. In truth, I do not think these boots would fit inside.

MICHAEL K They seem to fit fine in large fin pockets. Not much difference in the pocket over normal thin booties except they have reinforced wear guard over the toe and instep.
We have a pair of size 11 and wore them first time out as fly fishing waders and they worked great in water walking on rocks, sand and gravel- ankle length is much better than aqua sox or surf mocs. The sole is quite an upgrade from some old cheap booties we previously used with dive fins.
You definitely won't have to worry about wearing them out!

I use mine with Mares Volo power fins and they are perfect; however I've never tried them with scubapro. I think it should fit just fine with any standard open heel fins.
MATTHEW S It all depends on the size of your twinjets. As long as the foot pocket is big enough, these boots will work fine.
Shopper Lots of comments about the narrow toebox on these boots. What's a good way to measure whether your feet are too wide for these kind of boots?

Shopper Need a thick boot to go with OMS Slipstream fins and to prevent toes from rubbing raw. How well do these boots fare with with OMS fins?
EDWARD S These are great boots and have a reinforced toe area with hard plastic probably perfect for you. I have not used them with oms but have used jets and turtles with no issues.
SANDY R I use these boots with Oceanic Vortex 12, split fins. Boots work well.
Never any issues. Having said that, I ( we) have ALWAYS put on a pair of old socks to wear under boots of any brand/style. Been doing that for over 15 years, never a blister!

WILLIE S I purchased mens size 8 and I wear a size 7 or 7.5 shoe depending on the way it is cut. I have a very high instep and it is hard for me to get into some shoes, so I chose to go with the high side. I found the product well worth the price.

I originally ordered a womens 9 and it did not fit...but a men's size 8 fits perfectly. I have a very high arch and I love these boots.

MATTHEW F yes unless you step in deeper than the top of the boot.
ANDRES D It will keep sand out as long your boots don't go lower than the top-end of the boot. When you go to the beach you get sand, lots of sand!
WILLIAM B I would think it would keep most sand out. But when you walk in the surf sand will rise and some will get it.
JOHN H They should...I've used them to fish the flats and gather blue crabs & shrimp. They have a nice bottom and fit tight around the ankles. I dive with them as well and never any issues with anything getting in them.
PETER P In my use so far, sand has never been a problem. I generally cover the boot with the end of my wet suit and this also helps form an additional barrier to anything getting into the boot.
MALCOLM T These boots are very sturdy. Used in both shore and boat. Never had an issue.
RICHARD S Not very well. They have zippered sides and while the fit is tight it won't prevent sand getting into the boot as you walk and flex you foot and ankle in the boot. If you keep the top of the boot dry you will probably be OK but if you go into the water and get the top wet you should expect that you will get sand in the boot.
I have used these boots for several years for scuba diving and they work well and have held up so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for that purpose but I am not sure they are a good surf fishing boot.
Shopper If my size is a 10.5. Should I lean towards a 10 or 11 size? So, shall I select tight or loose?
LeisurePro S The rule of thumb is to round down when sizing boots/fins. You want the boot to fit more like a sock. I would recommend the 10.
Shopper I am getting set up for scuba gear, and did not buy boots yet. Is it necessary to own boots? I want to make sure the fins will not hurt me but also I would like to get boots when I can better afford good ones.
LeisurePro S Boots are pretty much a necessity when using a open heeled fin. You get avoid getting boots if you go with a closed heeled fin, but these fins tend to be a little lower in quality and many people opt to wear dive boots or socks with them anyway. Fortunately, "good" boots aren't that expensive. A $20-30 boot will last a long time and will be perfectly functional (thinner boots are also less expensive than thicker).
