Shopper I have a Scubapro Air2 on my present BCD, will this fit on the Cressi Travelight BCD?
ROGER Z I do not use a Scubapro Air2, so I don't have the answer to your question.
JOE H Yes, but you have to get a special hose. The hose has a large flanged end to fit the Air2. It was very easy to put on and works like a charm. The hose is actually an Oceanic part. The number is 84946.3 and it's called an "adaptable hose".

Raymond S This will be my first BCD purchase and want to take to first travel destination. I also dive NJ with 7mm wetsuit, pony tank in addition to tank. And 5-10 lbs gear. Will this BCD keep me afloat while diving cold NJ beeing that lift is only 20 to 29lbs using Med and Large sizes respectively?
JAY B I can't imagine why it wouldn't... Most of the bcd is a bladder and it does hold a bunch of air. This was also my first purchase of a bcd and I can't imagine not having it. It is my favorite article and I will never buy another brand or model. I hope they keep making it or a comparable one, in case.

I doubt that I can answer the question, this was a gift for my son, and he hasn't used it yet. If it helps, before I ordered it, I did as much research as I could and asked the local dive shop that he received his training, and they gave it a good reference based on what they could find online. FYI, they didn't carry Cressi and still thought it looked pretty good, for what it's worth.

SCOTT R I have only used my BCD in warm water, though I'm not sure haw mach impact that will have. However, I have found the BCD to have plenty of lift. Plus if you get your weights right at the start, then I think you should be fine. By the way, it's a very comfortable BCD, and compact for travle.
DANIELE M I think you should get something with more lift capacity. I weight 172LB and I have the Medium size and I found my self at times in need of more lift with a 3mm wetsuit and ONLY a single standard steel tank.
There's a slight risk to be heavy at the beginning of the dive and then too light at your safety stop.
Raymond S I am 5' 11", 175 lbs, Chest 42", waist 35". Tall and slim. Do I go for the large or the medium?
CASEY G I'd go with the large. I have a 36" waist and 44" chest and the medium is a bit snug. It still works for me but I wish it was a little bigger.
DAN G Hi...first let me say I am very satisfied with this BC...I took it to Bonaire in October and it worked out very well. My Chest size is also 42 and my waist is 35"...I am shorter than you (5'7") but that really won't make ay difference...I weigh 175 as well and had plenty of buoyancy. This should fit you fine in what I wear...a Medium. Happy Diving....my next stop, Red Sea, Sharm el Sheikh for the fourth time!
JOE H Raymond, I am basically your same proportions and I got a medium. A friend of mine who is about 6' 2" and slender got a large and after trying my medium wishes he got a medium too. I love this BC, got one for my wife too.
Raymond S Do any of you do colder water dives. The lift on this one is only 20 lbs. I suit up with tank, pony and 7 mm plus 10 lbs gear in NJ. Will this keep me afloat?
JOE H Sorry, I can't answer that one. I live in Minnesota and play around in our lakes here once in a while but I wait till it really warms up. Other then that, we're warm water divers. The most I've tried it with is a 3mil shorty and my huge underwater camera rig. It worked fine with that.

PAUL K I am 5"10" and 190lbs. and have a large Cressi Travelight BCD. I usually dive with a 3mil wetsuit and occasionally with a 5mil with no problems. I would advise opting for the large size to accommodate your wetsuit and to allow a freer range of motion. Bund straps and shoulder straps are easily adjustable.

MARK E I am 5" 8", 165 lbs. chest 44. I have the medium and it fits me perfectly with a 3mm wetsuit and hooded vest. My guess would be the large for you, but if it's wrong Leisurepro will exchange at no cost to you. Hope this helps.

VAN B I'm 5'6, 160#, and the medium fits like a glove, especially with respect to length. With a taller frame, you may want to go with the large.
STEPHEN S Can anyone comment on the stiff and difficult to remove weight system ? I am trying some fixes and looking for input of others who have actually dove with the item. I bought one last year from LP and just getting ready to use it. Not comfortable with the effort required to get the weight pockets out
BEN B I've been diving with this BC since 2009, and I've never had a problem removing or inserting the weight pockets. Sorry I can't help.
JOSEPH W Stephen: I have used sand bags almost exclusively. I have to put one 5 pound bag into each of the upper back pouches, and the amount I place into the side (flank) bags, with release, will vary depending on the thickness of the wet suit I am wearing (or not). Without a weight suit, I usually require a total of 20 pounds, all in the form of sand bags. With a wet suit, I have used up to 40 pounds. No problem with these. Since I am kind of a big guy (210 to 245), I may look into a totally different BCD in the future, one that is larger and heavier anyway.

the locking mechanism is very stiff, not at all like my aqualung/seaquest weight ditching systems on previous bcds
I ended up putting on non petroleum based silicone on the plastic buckles and working them in and out about 30 times. Its still stiff but it works, though not with the ease that something should that affects life and safety
Also I am concerned about having to relubricate the buckles before between /after each salt water dive
JOSEPH W Overall, I am in agreement with you, about the difficulty inserting or removing the weight systems. I am sure there are better BCD's out there for not much more money. The big advantage of this Cressi Travelight is the fact that it folds up into that nice little bag, making it easy to put into luggage. I am happy with it overall. This is my first BCD.
DAN G I also noticed the integrated weights can be difficult to remove...it is easier when you are wearing the BC. The bottom line is that I can remove the integrated weights 100% of the time when I make the effort. In an emergency situation with even a little bit of adrenalin going I am sure I could extract and dump those weights with no problem.
STEPHEN S Thanks Dan, I had my BCD on, on dry land with no weight in the pockets. I ended up putting a non petroleum based silicone on the buckles on the pockets and the receiving plastic that they lock into and worked them about 30-40 times in an out. That makes it easier but I am concerned about the plastic long term and the need to relubricate the mechanism between/before dives
DAN G Hi Stephen...I had not put any lubricant on my buckles yet but will probably do so before I use it again. With weights in the pockets I have been successful in getting the weight pockets out both on dry land and in the water ...actually it was a little easier in the water. Once I had identified the fact that there was a little extra resistance I gave it an extra effort in subsequent tries and was able to pull them out 100% of the time on the first pull; knowledge is power. I should point out that I am a fit 61 years old so if I can get them out I am sure you would be able to do so under any emergency...especially with the silicon in place:-) good luck and happy diving!
BONNIE S I think getting used to near gear just takes a bit of time. I have not found it difficult to get the weights out of my pockets. A quick jerk and they come out easily for me. I wonder if it would be the amount of weight in each pocket? I suspect more than 2 individual weights could make it more difficult too. If so, you could put a lighter weight in the shoulder pocket...and not impact an emergency assent if necessary to drop weights.

I am also concerned about having to relubricate the buckles after each dive. As mentioned in another reply, these are too tight compared to other bcds I have used. They changed the weight system in the new model I think the manufacturer heard the complaints, but that doesnt help people with units with potential safety problems
VAN B I've had no problems with the weights. Even through my PADI Rescue Diver training where I used them quite a bit. Maybe they just need to be lubricated or worked a bit if the BC is brand new.
STEPHEN S Thanks, the BCD sat for a year brand new as I had to get a 2nd achilles surgery. I did lubricate and worked them in and out about 30 times (non petroleum based silicone) Its easier but I am concerned about long term use of the silicone- hopefully it does not affect the plastic, but also having to relubricate after /between dives. SInce Cressi changed the weight system after only a couple of years I think they had enough complaints to know it was wrong. That does not help people with the this model, if they were subject to a manufacturing flaw that potentially caused irregularity in the molding or assembling
D C I have had my Cressi BCD for over a year and have never had any trouble with using the weight pockets. They do come out easily when you get practice removing them. I have to say of our dive group of 20 all but 2 own this BCD.
STEPHEN S Thank you, I have worked them in and out about 30 times and used a silicone non petroleum based lubricant. That has made it easier bit may require relubrication between salt water dives.
I love the vest design and construction, but my previous Seaquest/Aqualung integrated weight systems were never stiff and difficult like this. Since Cressi changed the weigh system for the new models I think they realized it was an issue.
Shopper My husband got me the Cressi Air Travel BCD for the holidays but I was wondering what the real differences are between the Air Travel and the AIr Travelight. I'm having a hard time telling from the descriptions besides the fact that one seems to inflate more on the back. Which one do you recommend? Main differences Travelight is lighter and made of different type denier nylon a bit lighter material 210 vs. 420, so probably the Air Travel is more durable.
The Air Travel has more Buoyancy capability:

Looks to me that the Air Travel is a better choice if the BCD is used as a normal BCD the Travelight is really focus on minimizing space in your luggage, so if space and weight is the number 1 priority then Travelight is your choice.
STEPHEN S The travelight is a conventional jacket style travel BCD with inflation mostly in the sides. The air travel is a back inflation which is better for swimming position underwater but has more of a tendency to push you face forward at the surface while waiting for the boat. Some people can remedy that by slightly deflating at the surface, which has its issues depending on conditions. It really depends on what you are used to and how well/quickly you adapt to change. They are both lightweight travel bcd's of good quality.

DAVID S I think that a small will work. I'm 5'8" with a 30 inch waist and a small is fine - I end up tightening the straps all of the way once I stand up.
BEN B I'm 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 43'' chest, 34" waist. I use a medium. I tried a large, but it was too big. Hope this helps.
MAREK O I would go with size L but probably M would be good too. I am 183 cm tall and 73kg. The L size fits perfectly.
JOSE R I'm 171 cm & medium is perfect for me, I'm also a 32 on the waist, u should be ok with a medium also.
DAN G I am 170, 41" Chest, 35" waist....Medium fits me perfectly. I am not sure how much bigger the Large is so cannot specifically answer that one for you....otherwise I have put about 20 dives in Tropical water on this BCD and it was nice for using and for travel. The top strap in the back is set just a little too high so I had to put the BCD a little lower on the tank to get it to stay in place but the that fixed the problem...and th main tank strap worked fine all by itself when I was first learning to rig this BCD. Big plus that this BCD is compressable for fitting in luggage. Pleased with my purchase. Good and safe diving to you.

DAN G I am 5'6", 170lbs, Chest 41, Waist 34 and have been diving since 1967...I have been through quite a few BC's since that time. This BC fit me perfectly in Medium and worked very well on my last trip to Bonaire in early November. An excellent travel BC.
JOE H I'm 6'0" and 165 pounds and I bought a medium for myself. My wife is 5"8" and about 135 pounds and I got her a small. We both love our BC's and they both fit fine.

MICHAEL W I'm 5'11 200 lbs chest 46" I ordered a large and needed to send it back for XL. LP has the PFF (Pressure Free Fit) ! Every BCD fits different and every diver likes a different fit. LP has great customer service so don't worry if you make a mistake. I would start with the medium and go up or down from there.
BEN B I have a 42.5 chest , and I use a medium with plenty of room left for 5 mm wetsuit.

Michael G We're close to the same size, I'm 5'6" about 160 lbs, smaller waist but bigger chest...I have a medium and think that would be the better fit. My wife (5'4", about 120 lbs)...she wears the small, I'm thinking her's would fit me...just think it would be a bit snug. Also, depending on how much weight you use (gear dependent) you'd want to check how much lift each size will give you.

KAI C Yes it should, of course it depends on the size and layout of your carry on. The Cressi Travelight forms a nice tight bundle, but you can unroll it a little to fit into a bag that is not so deep. I enjoy my Cressi and it makes traveling a breeze.
JAMES O The BCD packs ups pretty small and would easily be carry on. There would also be room for a regulator with all the bells. One word of caution, some airlines limit the carry on to 15 pounds and depending on your regulator setup, you could be approaching that limit. A way around that is to have a buddy hold your regulator while you take your carry on to be weighed. Once weighed and tagged you can put your regulator back in. We noticed most people were doing this on Philippines Airlines.
Jason A Very easily...folds up nice and compact with a strap that serves to compress it into a smaller size than simply folded. I'm Happy with the bc.

More generally, I wanted something light and small and this works great. I'm a stocky guy but this still has plenty of lift and is better than other ultralights I've used in that regard.

David C Easily. I usually carry on my mask, reg setup and my camera gear. I could add this BC and still have room in my carryon bag. It weighs only 5.5 lbs. and folds pretty snugly into the provided stuff-sack. I pack my BC in my checked bag and spread it out across the bottom of my dive bag.

JEREMIAH L I am 6ft 180 and I have a Large. I use this BCD as my daily rig, and have been diving for 2yrs. If you are larger in the midsection, I would recommend an XL.
JAY B I don't know if this is going to help or not - I'm 5/6 about 150 and have a small. This is my favorite piece of equipment and in the event it ever goes bad, I'll be truly upset if I can't find another one.
For your size, I would probably go with the large - there are several adjustment clips and in the event it is just a bit big, those clips will make that not so.

JAMES S PR Diver - I am a 43-yr old male, 6ft. 210-220 lbs. and I purchased this same BCD. I got the XL and it has fit me perfect, no matter what weight I have been at. I also wear a shorty when I dive and I have had no issues. This BCD is one of the best SCUBA gear purchases that I have ever made. I pretty much only dive when on vacation anymore, but I have been diving since the age of 16. If you are a traveling diver, this BCD is the cat's meow. It folds down so small you will be amazed when you open the box; in fact, my other gear takes up more space than the BCD. If you are gonna use it for local area diving...I would say that it is fine for that as well. Let me know if you have any other questions regarding this BCD.

JOSEPH S I am 5'10 and 180 lbs and I got a large which is a perfect fit for me. You should definitely get at least a large or even try an extra large. The return policy is very easy. I tried both sizes and returned the medium with no problem .

CYNTHIA B I would suggest getting the medium. These BCs are fabulous, but are sized a bit large. My husband and I originally ordered M and L (sizes we would normally take), and ended up exchanging them for S and M. He is similar in size to your measurements, and the M is perfect for him.
KIM S Medium fits me but I am under 200 lbs., so I would say that large would be a better fit for 210 lbs. By the way its a great travel BC, very compact and light.

I would recommend an XL, my husband and I purchased a Large and and our weights are 165 and 190. There is room to grow, so a large will probably work for you, but will not give you room to grow if the weight is 220 - 243.

MARK E Sorry, I can't answer that accurately. I weigh 165 and use a medium, but it is also dependent on chest size and height as well as weight and what thickness wetsuit you use. You can get a free exchange from Leisurepro if you need to change because of size.

Timo K Bucear en cozumel es magnifico, the lo juro (I live in Mexico City so I go there often). Great diving, but if you want some of the best reefs then then the British Virgin Islands are the bomb.
DAVID C Bought one in November for my trip to Grand Turk and am very satisfied with the performance. Very nice to have integrated weight pockets. It is very light for travel. I would recommend Small since you have a 5mm suit. If too large Leisurepro will exchange very quickly
Michael G I'm 5'7", about 160 lbs (I wear a meduim)...I think it's a little bit big, but I think the small would be a bit tight, especially with a thicker suit. My wife is 5'4", about 120 lbs, and wears the small. She just wore it this past November in Hawaii with a full 3mm suit as well as a full Pinnacle 5mm hood (with core coverage) and she was fine in the small. Personally I think the XS would be a little bit snug on you, especially with the 5mm wetsuit.
JOE H I bought a Travelight BCD for my wife last year. She loves it!! She's 5' 8" and about 135 lbs. She got a small and it fits fine. We do almost all warm water diving and all she ever wears is a skin so I don't know how it would fit with a wetsuit.

she is 5'6" and weighs 130. she wears a 3/2 mil wetsuit and wears the extra small. with 5 mil we guess small is the best bet--but they are nicely adjustable
nice lightweight travel gear--probably last at least a 100 dives

Terry Q I have a very old Zeagle BCD now. I have to pull it way down onto my hips once in the water so my head doesn't hit the valve system. I have a long back. Does anyone have any problems with head/valve clearance when using this BC? It looks very comfortable.
CHRIS S I'm 5'9" 178 and used this bc for ~ 12 dives in Curacao in Augusta-great fit and found it mor comforatable than my Cressis. Liked the integrated weights and look forward to using it some more-great size and low weight. Hope this helps!!
JOHN N Terry, I'm 6 foot 3 inches and haven't had any problems with head/valve clearance. I dive once or twice a year and I like to bring my own gear. I love this Cressi Travelight BCD as it is great quality, excellent fitting and definately light weight. It still has weight intergration system which makes it very nice not to have to wear a weight belt. I recommend it to you.
BONNIE S I've had the Cressi for almost 3 years and do not have any issues with the tank valve hitting my head. this is a very comfortable BCD. The BCD was purchased for my husband, who is just over 6' tall.

VAN B I have a medium and it fits me perfectly. I'm 5'6", 155# and 34" waist. I would recommend a large.
BEN B I'm 5'11, 190 lbs, 42' chest, 36" waist, and I wear a medium. They seem to run a little big. Hope this helps you.
WAYNE P I'd suggest a Large, but acknowledge you're on the border with a Medium. The final determinant might be what you wear underneath it.
CASEY G I'm 5'8" 195 with a 36 inch waste. I have a medium. It works but I wouldn't mind it being a little bigger.
MARK E I'm 5"8" and 165 lbs with a 36" waist. I have the large size and it fits very comfortably. I would call it slightly loose and not tight. I wear it with a full 3mm wetsuit with a 3mm hooded vest underneath. Depending on what thermal protection you're wearing, I might suggest you try the next larger size. It's a great travel BC. I love mine. If there is a size problem, you can exchange it at LeisurePro at no additional cost to you. Hope the info helps.
BRUCE M I am 5/11", 210 lbs, 38" waist and 44 chest. I ordered a Large, which fits OK, but a bit tight around the belly. I think a Large should fit you fine.
JAY B if you check the size chart, it should be pretty accurate. I am 5/6 about 155 and ordered the small, according to the specs on the chart. It fits perfectly. I love everything about this thing. It is my favorite of all gear.

DAVID S I'm not sure I understand the question. The quick disconnect is attached to the fill/empty control. While I don't know the exact length it is fairly "standard;" I've used the BCD with my regulator and with rented ones without an issue.
JOE H The quick disconnect hose is 28 inches long. The corrugated hose is 20 inches long. I replaced that hose with one from Oceanic (also 20 inches long) so I could attach my Air II to it. It's a great BC!
CLARE G My size S came with a 24 inch hose.

PS, I love this BC for travel.You wouldn't think that a BC with out a ridgid back plate would feel so good. When adjusted properly it is as good as my cold water gear.

JOE H I don't know about the Atomic SS1, but I do know you can put a Scuba Pro Air II on it. The original hose is too small but Oceanic makes a replacment hose that flares out on one end to fit an Air II. The hose cost $14 from a local scuba shop. I just bought another Travelight BC for my wife and replaced the hose on her BC too. Works great!! Some shops don't know about this hose, but I can send the part number if you need it. (Sorry I don't have it with me now)

I'm not sure what the atomic ss1 is, but it has all the standard fittings which are usually present in a bcd. I got this one for my wife, and she loves it and I'm a bit jealous. It functions well, is comfortable, and packs up into practically nothing. I'd check with leisure pro directly just to be sure, but my guess is it will work fine
MARK E I don't know for sure specifically about the Atomic SS1. I know several other brands are NOT compatible with the inflator screw attachment on the shoulder of the BC. They seem to be proprietary for the own brands only. Sorry I couldn't help more. I suggest you contact Cressi and Atomic directly. I'm sure they have toll free numbers you can locate by a web search.
CHRIS S im using an oceanic delta for last week for 10 dives/3 days and had absolutely no difficulties-nice an light and better than my zeagle....

VICTOR S I'm a male, 5' 7" tall, weigh 200 lbs, and have a 32" waist and a 46" chest. I purchased the Large Cressi Travelight, and it fits me very well. I'm fortunate enough to live in NYC, so I was able to try on the BCD prior to purchasing. I'd imagine the Medium would be the correct size for you.
Side note: I've rented equipment before and this is the first BCD I ever purchased. I love it! Compacts very nicely for travel, very comfortable and was able to achieve neutral bouyancy very easily with it. When you inflate the BCD, the sides slide along the cummberbund, almost converting it from a jacket style BCD to a back inflating BCD. Hope this helps, and happy diving.
MAREK O I'd say Medium. I'm 6' and weigh 74 kg and I'm using L size. I think L may be little too big.
JAY B I don't know the translation of kg to lbs but I'm 5'6" and weigh about 150lbs. This thing fits perfectly as a small and is truly my favorite piece of equipment.
LINDA D This BCD in a Small fits me even a little on the larger size. I can pull the straps almost all the way down to fit it perfectly and I am 5 foot 4 inchest and 138 pounds. I think the small will fit you perfectly. This is a great BCD, you will love it. It is very comfortable and travels beautifully as it folds up so well. Very light and lives up to the Cressi rep. CLARE G My BCD is currently in storage so I can't give an exact weight. I have been pleased with the way it packs compactly for travel, and would recommend it. The Cressi website shows: Weight: 2.300 kg (XS), 2.400 kg (S), 2.500 kg (M), 2:600 kg (L) 2.800 kg (XL). This translates to approximately 5-6 lbs. depending on size.
MITCH R I don't have the exact weight, but it is extremely light and compact...it packs down to practically nothing. I got this for my wife and now I'm very jealous as my bcd is a monster in comparison. It works great & makes you wonder why all bcd's don't have this design.

LeisurePro S The best way is to store it hung up on a hanger in a cool, dry place but you can store it in a bag/container though if you wish. If you want to pack it in a bag or a plastic container, make sure to put a little bit of air into the BCD before folding it.

Adjustable sternum straps along with both torso adjustment straps are equipped with quick-release buckles. BCD has three over-pressure relief/dump valves with two located on the left and right shoulders and a third lower valve on the rear right of the air cell. All three can be manually dumped two with pull cords and the other with the power inflator mechanism. The Travelight can be folded up in just a few seconds and fastened with a special retractable strap so that it can be stowed easily in its carry bag, which comes with a shoulder strap.
