NEAL R G If you are a US 6.5 woman's size that translates into 37 in European. If you are a US 6.5 men's that would be 39. For an open heel fin just check that it accommodates your US or European size range, but even more important you can adjust the length of the fin pocket by adjusting the fin strap, usually giving quite a lot of span. What is more important for you would be the width of the toe pocket. You absolutely do not want to have your toes pinched so if you have a choice with overlapping sizes, go for the larger size and just pull the fin strap tighter to hold it in place. Pinched toes will cause stress and fatigue and ruin your dives. Adjusting the fin strap to keep your foot in place will give you comfort and good propulsion and make your diving more enjoyable.

MARIA M I have a 6 1/2 - 7 size foot and even the XS was huge on me. I would say they run big.

CLYDE T Probably a medium, but must try on with a booty to make sure fit is proper. This a good fin for all diving activity.

KEVIN A I use the ML due to the wider foot pocket on the LXL. The foot pocket tends to be to wide causing foot cramping and loss of thrust when your foot slides around. That's my experience anyway.

RILEY P Well I typically wear a men's 12 to 13. So i can't really say what size to recommend. Its been awhile since i bought these and i do love them. The only thing I will say is if you have weak legs or feet these might not be the ones for you. I dive quite often and use these fins every time and extended times in the water fatigue even my feet since there really long. They will use minimal effort for thrust but they feel heavier than others. I don't know if this helps but i hope it does. GOod luck and keep diving

GREG A These fins need to be used with a boot so I would suggest going with which one fits you best. I wear a size 10 and use a size L fun. Hope that helps.

KATHY M I typically wear women's 8 to 8.5 in dress shoes/running shoes and size 6 booties. I bought the Cressi Reaction fins in a size S/M. They are a bit big for my feet but do fine when I cinch them up tight. I have found, though, that a bootie with a lot of rubber on the top of the foot/toe area is a very tight fit in the fins. Also, they are longer than most fins and don't fit in the fin pockets of luggage. I have to travel with them in the inner portion of the suitcase with my BC and other gear- if you get these fins, don't wait until the last minute to see if they will fit in your luggage!! They have been a good fin for me. It only takes one or two kicks and you are well ahead of the pack- they are fast!!

Shopper I wear a size 6 women's shoe. Should I get a small or extra small fin? Also, these are recommended for scuba diving right?

DIRK P I have purchased four (4) pairs of these fins for my family members, and we have used them all over the Caribbean and in Florida - for scuba diving. They are a fantastic fin. Well balanced, flexible, comfortable and functional. I am a scuba instructor and I suggest them to all my students. As for sizing, you should use the size chart on the LeisurePro website, or call one of there great staff members for help.

MIKE K Depending on the booties you are wearing. Got these for my wife a size 6 also and uses a 7mm bootie for cold water diving and I got the size small. The fit was good. I also added spring straps and made the fit secure as well as easy to got on and off.

CAROLYN D I purchased the XS and I wear a size 6 shoe. The XS is perfect with a 3mm short bootie, and yes I use the fins for diving. I really do like them.

PETER B Hi - I got these fins three years ago and love them. They have held up really well and I scrape along the bottom a lot diving for lobsters. I have done 65 dives in the last three years. I have a size 10 men's boot and use the M-L size. It's only a guess, but I think you do want the extra small. Be sure you use a boot, these won't work barefoot. And, yes, these are recommended for scuba diving.

TAMMY W For a size 6, get a Small to allow for the booties.

RICHARD S I would suggest getting a size small as you are going to be wearing a bootie which will take up room in the fin. These are great fins for scuba diving. The blade does much of the work and I find them easy to dive. I used to dive Mares Quatro fins and was really happy with them but decided to leave them in the Philippines so I didn't have to take so much equipment back and forth from the US when I travel. I bought the Cressi fins as a replacement and they are the only fins I dive in the US. The fin does much of the work for you and I think you will be happily surprised at how easy they are to dive and how much work the fin does for you as opposed to you kicking all the time.

JOHN A I gave these fin's away after a month. Get Apollo Bio Fin's. They are much more efficient and comfortable. I have about 1000 dives and they are the best. Hope this helps. John

Reaction is the most recent Cressi open heel adjustable strap fin which has been developed after the Rondine. The Reaction is an innovative fin in look and performance. The Reaction is molded using the exclusive and patented Cressi system with 3 materials. The three materials consist of a comfortable thermo-rubber (elastomer) anatomic, computer-designed foot pocket. The foot pocket encompasses the foot assuring transmission of the leg-to-fin thrust without loss of energy, adding efficiency to the fining action.

The second material is the revolutionary new dual density (techno polymer) polypropylene which forms the blade, and in conjunction with the third silicone based material creates a channeling effect. The channeling effect is the characteristic of the fin that enables a high level of energy to be transferred in both up and down strokes of the kick pattern. The blade originates from the upper part of the foot pocket, with a 20% increase in useful surface area compared to a traditional fin of the same length. The blade also has a differentiated thickness and gets thinner towards the edge to guarantee greater and more uniform bending.

The side stringers are made from two different materials that alternate with each other and overlap in different zones to obtain a structure with controlled flexibility in the different areas of the blade. New up-and-over adjustable quick-release buckles allow ideal positioning of the strap on the heel. These new buckles locking system prevents the possibility of the buckle falling off, even if the fins are unbuckled. To all these excellent features, Reaction adds a new, longer, more flexible and lighter blade that provides excellent thrust with minimum muscle fatigue and the smallest expenditure of energy. Fin is available sizes X-Small, Small, Medium/Large or Large/X-Large, comes in Blue/Light Blue, Black/Red, Clear/Pink, White/Lavender or Black/Silver in sizes X-Small and Small and the same in Medium/Large or Large/X-Large except Clear/Pink. Fins are covered by a 12 month limited warranty.

My wife and I bought these fins before going to Bonaire as an open-heeled fin is recommended due to wearing boots for rugged shore entries. The fins worked great, not too stiff, but not overly flexible either. Fins give good propulsion, and did not did not seem like "too much fin" for snorkeling as some other reviewers indicated. We have used primarily for snorkeling/free-diving but imagine they would work equally as well for SCUBA diving. Another criticism was the foot insert area being too big, we wear them with Seasoft boots and love them (read my review on them too if looking for a great warm water boot). Feet never cramp and I have spent multiple hours in the water at multiple points in the day (both in Bonaire and Roatan). Overall a great fin for a price that doesn't break the bank.

You will not confuse the foot pocket fit with that of a mares fin. The sole is arched upwards resulting in some odd sensations and loss of leverage on upstroke. Thin soled booties result in greater instability. Wear a thicker hard soled bootie.

Blade has nice progressive snap and works well with frog sculling. Clunky foot pocket design makes packing a bit more of a burden then other fins. Newfangled strap design (all plastic construction) will not accomodate stainless or save-a-dive straps.

I have these in the pink. When i purchased them i hadn't tried them in the water and i wish i could have given them a test run. I am not in the best shape and i used these just while snorkeling in Lake Tahoe. They are long stiff fins, i HATED them for snorkeling but deeper underwater i could see them giving amazing power, if your leg muscles are strong enough and your don't get cramps. I started to get cramps in my feet from them as well.

Very good fins. I used Mares Avantis and their Vol (something). I bought these because I need fins without heels to make beach entry. Ever since I haven't touched my old fins. These are GREAT fins for people in good shape. They are VERY stiff, but this allows for UNBELIEVABLE power, and if your in good shape you can become quite the scuba sprinter. The only possible down fall again is that they are stiff, so people that are out of shape or prone to leg cramps may find that these fins are hard to deal with.
