Questions about this item:
Shopper I am 6ft 3 inches tall chest 45 inch waist 32 inch I am wondering what size suit I should be looking for when I look at charts it appears I am odd man out. Also I am looking to purchase one other suit for person 5ft 9 inch tall chest 43 inch waist 42 inch? I would like to get 3 suits 2 of first size and 1 of other thank you Dave
Steve S I'm sorry, but this suit will not really fit either of you off the rack. There are other suits like Pinnacle suits that have more of a variety of sizes.
SCOTT C I am 6'3", 200 lbs, 34" waist, not really sure what my chest is. I have this wetsuit in XL and I love it. Fits great. Probably my favorite wetsuit for diving I've ever owned, and I have gone through numerous wetsuits.
Shopper I'm 5'8", 150lbs, 31" waist (long-distance runner's build) and have a history of finding a way to be cold in 90? water by the end of the 3rd dive day. I'm taking a trip to cozumel in July, and really don't want to be cold. Do you think this is the right suit? or is there something else you'd recommend?
ADAM G This is a very good suit. I'm 5'9" and 158 and the medium fits quite well. The neck, wrist, and ankle seals are effective at keeping the water out. This is a great cold water suit for me. I wear it in 50-70 dgF water. If most of your diving is in warmer water, you might consider getting the Cressi 3mm and adding a 2mm vest underneath it as necessary to keep the core warm.
RONALD W This suit has treated me very well over dozens of dives. I have been in 72 degree water with and have been just fine. KEY ELEMENT--Like with most suits, it MUST be completely zipped up and snug around the wrists, around the neck, and just above the ankle area. So sizing is very imoortant, if you get one that is too big, it will gaps in the seals and water will flow in and out of the suit never giving the suit a chance to warm that area of your body. This will causes an anti-thermal affect. So use the sizing chart. It was very accurate for me. Have fun in Cozumel and stay warm shouldn't be an issue in this suit.
PATRICK K I've used this suit in water around 48 degrees so far and I stay nice and warm. Your feet and hands are another story. Make sure you get the matching socks and gloves and hood or you will still freeze. If anything make sure you get the hood if nothing else.
PETER B I'm kind of the opposite. I use this suit to cave dive in Florida, where everyone tells me I should have a dry suit. That being said, you should be pretty toasty in cozumel with it. the bigger thing to concern yourself with is the boat ride between dive sites. I'd actually recommend a 3 mm suit for the diving, and a heavy trench coat for the windy ride after the dive. That's when everyone gets cold, not in the water.
have fun!
ELROY V This suit is too thick to be in 90 degree waters. This suit is good for 78-74 degree waters temp. 3mm suit will definitely keep you warm in 90 degree waters if not too hot. Another thing is drink plenty of fluids. Keep hydrated. Diving in 90 degree waters you should be wearing a skin suit, shorty or bathing suit. But if you're suseptible to getting cold quickly like i said a 3mm suit should keep you warm. Hope this helps. Also you will need to adjust you're buoyency (weights) when changing from skin, shorty, 3mm, 5mm, 7mm. Good luck and be safe. Hope this helps.
JUSTIN K I dive in 45 degree water with this suit and a 3mm vest/hood and it works great. So I wouldn't think of diving with a suit in the GOM
TIMOTHY C You sound like me. I will be in Cozumel In a week and I will be taking my Cressi Castoro 5 mm jumpsuit with me. Cozumel water temp should be mid to high 80s in July and this jumpsuit would be thick enough. This is pretty nice jumpsuit.
DON H I suggest this suit and purchase light hood. Suit runs a little on the large side .
DOUGLAS R I think its going to be way too war for you. When I did some drift diving there, I was plenty toasty in a 3mm suit.
ALEX S I think suit fits great! I would go up one larger on size then it says. That's what I had to do anyways. But to dive in Cozumel I would go with a 2.5 not a 5MM
William B I'm 5'9", 165 lbs, waist 31"-32", chest 39"-40". I'm somewhat between sizes. It looks like I could either go for a medium or large. I'm at the top end of the medium and bottom end of the large. Would a large fit me well?
THAD M William,
All I can say is that I'm 6'3" and 260#. I got a 3X and it fits well. It was a bit hard to put on at first, but it gets easier after a few times. One thing I can say is if you do need to exchange it, just call Liesure Pro and they make it very easy to do this. They will email you a return tag, then just drop it off at UPS. I would personally try the larger size. If it doesn't fit right, at least it will give you a point of reference.
William B Thanks for all the replies everyone! All replies came in within 24 hours of asking the question, with most coming in within 12 hours. Excellent! Anyway, I took all replies into account and ultimately decided to order the medium due to several of you that were close to my size and had ordered mediums. Also, the more I thought about it, the large might be a little too loose, which would essentially negate the effects of wearing a wetsuit. I'll post back here once I get the wetsuit and try it on for fit. Thanks again!
SCOTT W I'm about your size and went with a medium. No complaints at all!
KIM W Yes, a large would fit well. I'm the same height and weigh 175 lbs with a 35" waist. But, you should know the legs are about an inch to long. So far, it hasn't impacted me negatively while diving or out of the water. Also, the neck area maybe a 1/4 inch loose. Otherwise, it's a nice wet suit.
DAVID M I am 5' 8.5", 167lbs, waist 31-32, 39" and the medium was a perfect fit
ARTEM R I am 5'8", 160 lbs and the suit is very snug on me. If in doubt, take large.
DONN E Based on the way mine fits, XL 72/190, I would say you might prefer the L, unless you plan to go on a serious diet in the very near future. DE
JOSE R Hello, Im 5'6" & I ordered the medium & fits me fine, I think you should go with the large one, happy diving!!
CHRISTOPHER D I'm 5'8" and 165lbs...I got a medium and there's a good amount of room for me to grow into it, especially in the legs. If I were you I'd get the medium as well, it'll definitely fit.
CHIUNG T I'm an inch shorter but 30# heavier and wear the large, which is slightly on the tall side for me but accommodates my width. I'd suggest a medium for you.
JOSE O Go for a large. Im 5"9 and 190lbs and a medium is perfect for me
ERIC H I would suggest the large. If it doesn't fit you can always exchange it. For the money great wet suit, keeps me much warmer than my 5mm Henderson. Harder to dawn then the Henderson but def keeps you warmer.
Bob W I'm 42" chest 42" waist & 42" hips. what size will fit me best?
DONN E I'm 6', 185/190, W 33", C 42" and wear a XL. I would guess you could squeeze into a XXL if all of your numbers are accurate or somewhat exaggerated, but you probably really need a XXXL. DE
ANGELO S Hi there Bob, I'm no expert with wetsuit sizing so I'm not sure I can offer you any hard and fast answer to your question. Leisure Pro includes a Cressi size chart (hyperlink just to the right of the "select size" button on the website). If I were in your position I'd opt for an XXL/6 or a XXXL/7. It may be a bit tight in the waist and hips, but once you get in the water the neoprene expands to a degree and over time the suit stretches a bit to conform. I have the same suit and it's an absolute dream in cooler water. It's especially attractive when you take into account the cost relative to other 5mm suits on the market.
Additionally, I believe Leisure Pro has a return policy based on fit. If it doesn't fit, I'm fairly certain you can return it and exchange the suit for the proper size. Don't quote me on that, however.
Bob W thanks, Angelo. I guess I'll call the store this morning and see what their expert has to add.
RONALD B XXXL/7 I'd ask the sales rep. though. The sizing chart indicates that size for your measurements. I used the chart for my purchase and it was spot on.
Shopper Weight 60kg, height 176cm, waist 30 inches, chest 87cm
What is the right size?
Ken M I'm 5'8" and 180 lbs with a 34 inch waist and the Large was perfect for me.
CHUNMING P Suggest M.
I am 181cm tall, 72kg weight. I bought L an fit me well
RUBEN M A I am 168 cm, 70 Kg weight, and 31 inches waist and the Medium sizes fit me fine, maybe a taller person will fit better so I would recommend a Medium size.
FUEL A The size in Medium . ;)
DOUGLAS R Sounds to me like you need the M/S for overall length reasons. Give it a try, but try to keep it clean and undamaged because they will let you exchange it.
ADAM J I wear a Large (though its long) and I'm about 85kg, 174cm, waist 34 inches and chest 100cm.
Shopper Would this work for Moneterey California, avg temp around 52 Fareinheit? Also, I'm 6'3" 200lbs, ,would XL be right?
BRIAN M I used this past summer in Buffalo NY (Niagara River) We start when water temp is 60 F. Suit worked great.Great quality. Felt a little tight across the chest, when dry fitted, never botherd me when diving.I'm 5'10" using a large.
KOY S It might be a little snug I'm 58 200 and it's a little tight.as far as it being warm enough it depends on how long youll be in the water.5 mm would be good from 1 to 2 hours pending on how much cold you can tolerate.my main suit that I dive with is a 7mm
TEDDY M I would go for the 7mm XXL
JAMIE B I have never dove in water that cold with a 5mm suit but i don't think that would be thick enough. The coldest i have ever dove in with this suit e
was maybe 70 degrees. As far as the size i am 5' 9" and 210 and mine fits ok, a little tight through the shoulders and arms.
MIKE B Great suit but I doubt it would be the proper suit for 52 degree water. Can you say dry suit! Might try the XXL because of your height.
ADRIAN E I have used this suit in Key West, about 69 degree water. Perfect for this temperature. You might consider a 7mm suit for water in the 50's!
ERIC H No way!! You will need at least a 7mm with hood and gloves. Strongly suggest a drysuit if diving there regularly.
DAN C Hi, at 53 deg I would use a 7mm or a dry suit. Mine is XXL and i'm 6' 205 lbs and it fits me good. Hope this helps
VICTORIA J BTW, I am 6" and 205. The x-large was perfect for me.
VICTORIA J No, I would get something warmer, this works for around 60-70 degree water.
But then I am from the south and I get cold easily.
RONALD B I was in Monterey in Aug. of last year. I wouldn't reccomend a 5ml. suit. The 7ml. is going to be much more comfortable. The water temp. up here in northern Ca. can be cold compared to southern Ca. I bought my 5ml suit for the tropical areas that I travel to. The temps. there are in the 70's or higher as compare to the water temps. here in northern Ca,in the 50's.
MICHAEL B I use it for the winter in out of tampa bay, 60 ish now, I wear the 5mm, 3/5 mm hoody pullover, and a 5mm shorty, keeps me toasty, I get cold easy, im not sure on the fit for you, i got a large (recommended by chart for me) it fits perfect
MATE G Besides me two divers whom I know are using Cressi Castoro 5mm Men's jumpsuit.
It's actually good for Monterey bay diving (we tried), but for longer dives I usually put on a 7mm shorty on top of it and then it's good for longer dives (1hr) and deeper depths (80-100ft).
It works very well for Monterey bay shore dives (20-40mins).
Also it's one of the best wetsuits, in terms of the ease of putting it on.
If you get cold very easily, then a 7mm version of the same might be better.
RONALD W 52 f is too chilly for a 5 mm. Even a farmer john 7mm limits at about 58-60. You'll be needing a semi dry 7-8 mm or a full dry suit. This Cressi 5 mm works great and is comfortable, but is not enough insulation for that temp.
As for the sizing, I am 5'11'' 205 and the XL is a great fit. I cannot see your extra few inches being a problem at all for the XL fit.
BRANDON C U might want to go a size bigger due to your highth. As far as the water temp ya it will be fine.
DONN E I'm 6', 190. The XL fit is fine. At 6'3'", 200, the diver is probably on the line, and unless he plans to lose or maintain his weight, he may wish to consider a larger size. At shallow depths, a 5mm may be all right with hood and gloves, but he may want a 3-5mm hooded vest . Just a thought. DE
JOE Z I love my suit i am 6' 200# and mine is a little tight around he chest. Judging from your description you may be more slender and it would fit perfect. Warmth wise i have been in 50 degree with it and i was literally steamimg when i took it off. Best of luck hope it helps
ANDREW M Ya that would probably work just fine, Im 6' 1'' 190 and a XL fits just fine for me with a little extra room. So i would say the XL would work for you too. I bought this wetsuit because it was on sale for really cheap at the time and have loved it ever since. I have used it to dive in anything from warm waters of Hawaii to chilly water in a quary in Illinois so i would say 52 degrees would work.
CRAIG G No idea about the size, but at 52F...to dive...I would consider a dry suit. Even a 7mm + 7mm shorty/farmer john would be way too cold for me. Personally, I wear a 5mm for temps ~74-80F. Keep in mind everyone is a bit different, and I tend to be cold, but I'm pretty sure you'd want way more thermal protection at that temperature.
Joseph P Please feel free to send the answer to my email
Paul O So I'm 6'2" and 171 lbs. 4 out of the 5 measurements (Height, Chest size- 40", Waist size- 35" and hip size- 38") say I should get the XL. However my weight says I should get the L. What is variable is more important when making a selection? What would you recommend?
Thanks,
Paul
KYLE R I just purchased the XL. I am 6'1" and weigh 180. I would say that it is snug but fits me perfectly. Doesn't seem to ride too short on my arms or legs. Hope this helps.
TIMANDRA F My Husband is 6'3.5 and 193 lbs. He wears size 34 pants his chest is about 44" and his hips and waist are similar to yours. but he got the size XXL and it is really snug. The torso is a bit tight for his height (in the crotch). He thinks you would want to go up in size for sure rather than down. Go with XL. Good Luck.
STUART ANTHONY P Well, I am 6' and 175 lbs and I have the large and it fits perfect. I think with your size of being 6'2" you should go with the XL. It really comes down to your height. Because if the torso is off it will not fit. Plus it is a great suit, you will love it. Take care.
Stuart
BARRY W I found the Cressida to run small. I would go with th XL
Tom A I'm 5'6" & weigh about 155lbs ?What size should I go for?
Monica s Medium should be fine.
Shopper Im 6'2" 175lb, im tall and thin. what size would you recommend?
VICTORIA J This suit was for my husband who is 6' tall and weighs 215. I got him an extra large and it fit perfectly. I hope this helps. We would not want to guess at the size for you and get it wrong. One thing my husband says about the suit is that even wearing it over a wetskin it is difficult to get on. He thinks for the next one he purchases he would prefer to have zippers at the end of the arms and legs. He suggests you test try them if you can. We were not able to do that bec we live in Cozumel. Best of luck.
P.S. My friends said shipping is free over a certain amount so they bought several to try and returned the ones that din't work for them.
RAUL B According to the Cressi size chart you should be an L. I followed the chart when I bought mine and is accurate.
PETER C I'm 6'1" 195 and an XL is perfect. I think that would be your best bet. This wetsuit is amazing. I'm toasty in 62 degree water!
CHIUNG T I'm 5'8" 190lb and the size L fits me fine although it is a bit too tall on me. It is a great suit for the money.
RONALD B Hi, I'm planning a trip to Bonaire in March, and I bought the 5ml for the warmer waters down there. I've heard that the dive shops rent 3ml shorties. So it may be over kill, but I like to be warm after long periods in deep water. I followed the sizing chart provided and it fits me like a glove, and is much more comfortable then the 7ml suit I've been using in northern Ca. I really do like the way it fits and wouldn't hesitate to repeat my purchase. I haven't had the chance to use it in the water, but I'm sure in warm water you can't go wrong.By the way I'm 6' 185Lbs .
MIKE B The suite is true to size, so consult the size chart on the web site.
JOHN C I went with a Large, I'm 6'-1" 185. I was up in the air so I had them send an XL to compare and that was too big... It's a pretty good suit, I have about 40 dives in it and it's held up good. My girlfriend has the Ladies version.... Good Luck!
jorge p Hello, I would like to know what the rules and measures to buy a wetsuit?
Shopper Hi ! Where it's made this Jumpsuit ? Thanks
ANGELA M It is made in China.
BRANDON C It was made in China, I got it back on April 27 2011 and I love it. It is true fit and true to the size. I go diving in up state ny and it is all kinds of water temps up here. I would remand it to any one thanks
JACEK S It is made in China
JOHN C China, but it's good quality. I'd recommend it to a friend.
DUSTIN E I am not sure where this suit is made but I bought one and this is a great value. I purchased the XL (5'11'' and 205) and have about 10 dives with it in Southern Missouri lakes and love it. I ordered the Large and XL just so I could try both and see what size fits me best then just returned the one I didnt like, it was that easy!! I have found out that Cressi is a great brand of Scuba products.
Cressi Castoro 5mm
2 X Cressi Big Eyes Mask (Me and 14yr old)
Cressi Focus Mask (9yr old)
Cressi 5mm Gloves
Bare 5mm Boots
Scubamax Max Stretch Hood 5mm/3mm (Great Hood for 60-80 deg waters)
MIKE B Cressi is an Italian company. The wetsuit is marked,
"Made in China".
BRIAN M The wetsuit is made in China
TIMOTHY C The wet suit was manufactured in China. It is a nice wet suit, especially for the price.
STUART ANTHONY P My Cressi was made in China. I would also suggest the matching hood. I have used it over the past 6 month about 20 times. Its a great wetsuit.
CHIUNG T Hi! It's made China this Jumpsuit. You're welcome
CHIUNG T Hi! It's made in China this Jumpsuit. You're welcome
DAN C Hi, Italy I believe. I like it, only used on one trip so far but it was comfortable.
PATRICK K My tag only says Cressi but the company is in Italy and I think they state on their website they make everything there. It is a very high quality wetsuit! The 5mm is designed for cold water. DO not wear in a warm environment or you will overheat for sure! Unless you are going very deep in a hurry.
GILBERT A The wetsuit is made in China. Hope this helps you.
Shopper Is there a size chart?
LeisurePro S Here is a size chart for Cressi wetsuits.
