Questions about this item:
Shopper Is there any other brand choice of macro lens apart from Fantasea to fit this housing? Also, any other accessories such as external flash light and arms for holding the lights? Does Canon provide these accessories?
I haven't decided to buy Canon powershot G12 or Olympus XZ-1 yet. Please help.

ERIC W I haven't purchased a macro lens, the macro feature on the camera does very well in my opinion. As for external flash , I recently bought an Intova ISS 4000. Ihave been using it in Key Largo the last few days. It seems to be working like a champ. I do not believe Canon offers any additional underwater accessories.
THOMAS T I am not educated enough to talk about the macro lens portioin of your question. I scuba and snorkle with G10's and a G11. We shoot only in normal mode wiht occacional switch of basic camera setting into macro mode done within the camera.
We shoot using available light, there is of course a universal tripod mount on the base of the housing that would accept a set of arms with external flash units....I do not know how you would sync. the outside flash to the camera in the housing however.
Best answers that I have at this time, probably not that useful to you.

BOYD K O NOT PURCHASE the housing for the Canon G12... you cannot manipulate the f/stop w/ this housing...

THOMAS T I really don't know, I have G10's and a G11. DIfferent housings for the G10. My guess is that a G9 won't fit. I have a friend that has a G9, but my recall is that the G9 and the G11 are too different.
Probably not much help.....
