Bill K What size are the soft boots that come with the Bare Nex-Gen dry suit 2xl?
DOUGLAS S I have a size ML and the boots are about size 11, there is a little stretch but don't know if that size is a constant for other size suitets. Best bet is to call the manufacturer and talk to a product rep.
TODD N I wear a 13.5 shoe and they fit with room for insulated socks hope this helps

Bill K Hello all, I just bought a Bare nex gen drysuit with the help of Wayne. Would anyone know if Leisure Pro can put on hard boots and a hood on the drysuit? Or would it be better to get the boots that go along with suit? I would greatly appreciate someone's knowledge in that matter.
JOHN A We use hard boots and a hood with ours.
DANIEL B I had the boots that came with it and they lasted a really long time and didnt weigh me down in the water at all. course you could just get some rubber overboots and cut em back on the cheap if needs be they charge way too much for em
RICK N I personally bought the Bare Rock Boots and really like them alot. I dont think Leisure pro adds boots, but you can visit your local dive shop and I imagine they can do it for you.
Have you tried dryhoods? I dive in the Pacific Northwest where it is pretty cold all year round. Dry hoods are not very popular and I dont think offer much more warmth than just a higher MM hood. I believe I use a 5mm and my head is never cold.
I dive at least once a week, and also head to Sitka every winter and dive there. No problems with cold head.
Google Bare Rock Boots, they may even have them here.

WAYNE L I purchased my suit in late 2008 and have approx. 50 dives on this suit, mostly ocean dives.
I am 5'11" 215lbs. and orderd an XLarge Suit first (according to the sizing chart) and when it arrived, I tried it on and found I didn't have any room for thermal wear. I called L.P. and they sent me a shipping slip to return the suit and sent me a 2X Large which was a perfect fit for me.
This suit is not a high end heavy-duty dry suit, but if you are an average recreational diver this suit should meet your needs. It also cleans easily and you can reverse the entire suit down to the neoprene booties to thoroughly dry it after using it.
Dale K I have gotten into Kite Boarding. Usually really warm in South Padre but it will be starting to cool down soon. I really hate to be cold and wet. Should I consider a dry suit as opposed to a wet set?
SHANE W Dry suits are a much more delicate than a wet suit. Don't know if it would hold up to kite boarding, but as far as diving goes the NEX-Gen has been a great suit.
CHARLES W This suit is made for scuba diving, but it may work for Kite Boarding. I have been in really cold water and at 100 feet deep and have been really warm. The warmth you get really depends on what kind of under garment you get with the suit. I don't know how Kite Boarding works but this suit can tend to be bulky and really stiff at times. A 7mm wet suit might work better for you as far as movement and flexablity.
Dale K Thanks Charles, Kite Boarding is similiar to Wake Boarding except NO BOAT. A Large kit lifts you up and drives you along. Traditional wet suits maintain the water warm from body heat while you are in the water. You are out of the water hopefully most of the time Kiting. Additional factor is cold wind flying along at 20-30 miles an hour on top of the water.

PETER F medium large short. Thats why i ended up getting the BARE, because they have one of the only stock sizes that fit me. im similar dimensions to you.
SHAWN E I purchased the XL suit. I have an atheltic build, 5' 11" 205 lbs. Chart is in-between size L & XL. I went with XL...Glad I went larger. Great suit, just remember you have no stretch in suit. Hope this helps. Shawn
EMILIAN K I think Large is yoiur size, I am 5.9 182lb with same size feet and I got size L, and it fits good! You will have a little room but dont forget that you will dress underneath, and the booties are thin rubber and they will get stuffed into the boot just fine without hot spots. Few extra wrinkles here and there are no biggie

Justin H Thanks Todd, I appreciate the feedback. I am concerned about the height more than anything. My gut is wanting me to go to a XLT because it give me 2 more inches vs. the LT, but I am on the thinner side @ 185 lbs. I know with drysuits you can go a bit on the loose side, I just want to get the proper height but not be to loose fitting either.
JAMES C If your not in a hurry i would try the LT first, you can always return it for a XLT later if it isn't comfortable. I prefer a suit that fits closer to snug than loose. jim.
MICHAEL B Bare does not make that Nex-Gen Pro Dry suit for any 6ft. 6in. tall person. I wouldn't buy either size for yourself. Mike

Justin H Thanks Jason, I'll probably go with the LT vs. the XLT since I'm on the thinner side. I am just worried more about the height than anything since I have that issue with everything it seems being 6'6.
