Questions about this item:
Shopper what about half sizes? I have a 11 1/2 shoe size should I go bigger or smaller?
SCOTT S For a guy, I would order a size 9. Really. I'm a size 11-11.5, and the 10 was WAY too big. I reordered a 9, and it fits, but it's stretching. I could easily fit an 8. Weird, but true.
Frank L You should go down, you want a snug fit.
SHAWN C My opinion go smaller. I feel the run a half size large. Plus the stretch after getting wet like a wet suit.
Shopper Are these men's sizes?
PETER P yes...they are a bit unstructured, but the fit is true...if you have wide feet, take the next size up....
KATINA P yes they must be since I bought them 2 sizes smaller than my regular women's size and they run wide.
Frank L Men's sizing. We recommend going down two sizes from a women's size.
Debbie S I am looking at dive booties SKU BLRS and trying to figure out the sizing. Are the sizes mens or ladies?
Karen H I wear a size 9 women's, are these sized in men's sizes or women's?
KATINA P I bought an 8 and I normally wear a women's 9 1/2, they run a little wide too which I needed. I am assuming they are made to fit a men's foot. The 8 fit me well. good luck!
Shopper There is no listing for women's sizes. I wear a size nine (women's). what size should I order?
JOHN R There is a size chart link next to select size box. It gives you a conversion from men's sizes to wms and euro
PATTY S well I would order by the length of your foot
Shopper sorry for yet another size question... I am a women and usually wear size 7.5 - should I go with size 6 or 5?
RUSSELL W I don't know if this will help you but as a man I wear a size 10.5 so I bought size 11 and they work fine.
Shopper Is the size chart based on men's sizes or women's sizes?
Frank L They are men's sizes. For women, you would go down two sizes.
Shopper How do I know which size is for me? Is size 6 for both men and women?
ROSS L All I know is that I ordered a size 11 which is my men's shoe size, and they fit well. My guess is that a size 6 would be more like a women's size 8.
KAREN U These are in mens sizes. My daughter wears a size 6 womens so we got her a size 4 wich seems to fit her okay maybe it could be a little smaller but they do not have size 3.5.
JAMES V We based our choice on men's shoe sizes and did fine. Personally, I like booties with zippers better........
KRISTINE M These are mens sizes, so if you are a woman then you would want to get the size 1-2 smaller. For example, I am a womens size 7 so I bought the size 5.
UVALDO C this is a two-part question:
(1) will these blue reef 3mm neoprene dive slippers work well with the aeris mako fins?
(2) if so, i wear size 11 so i'm thinking of buying the size 12 fins to accommodate my foot and the dive slipper ... will they fit?
KIM J If the fins require a bootie (open heeled) they will work great. I wouldn't order a size up in the fin to accommodate your foot and the dive slipper.
WILLIAM B The 3mm dive slipper is high enuf to accomodate the fin strap so that it isn't rubbing against bare skin. As far as size, 3mm is not very thick. I would get my normal size so that I get a good fit and adjust via the fin strap.
ted s can you swim with these alone-not in fins I am looking for something to protect feet entering and exiting the water, keep feet warm while swimming in cold water and cannot wear fins (triathlon rules)?
TIMOTHY G excellent fit and very comfortable size is true, have used down to 50 degree water
JOHN M Yes, in fact this may be their best use. They are quite soft and comfortable, and reasonably well made. Their worst feature is their softness. They come off fairly easily when removing fins. They tend to stick inside the fin and come off like a sock. They stay on quite well when walking, and have good adherence to smooth surfaces like rocks. They are excellent for brief walks in water, but are probably too flimsy for extended use, or for running. They provide limited thermal protection, enough for moderately cool water but not for anything really cold. I no longer use them with fins because of the ease with which they slip off.
CRAIG H Fine with fins. But not so much for swimming, other than entering and exiting the water. Walking along the shore okay, until they become soaked and then they can tend to loosen.if they are not a snug fit to begin with.
MARK R They will do a great job protecting on entry/exit but are too thin to keep your feet warm. For use in warm caribbean water.
MAUREEN Y Yes, but make sure it fits well. It is thin enough as not to be cumbersome.
Shopper I bought an oceanic V 16 fins, I would like to known if this boots works well with my new oceanic fins. If not, which boots could you recommend to me?
Thank you.
ANDREW L These will work with open heel fins but I've always had the best results with high-top boots. They don't slip off as bad.
KARLE S I have a size 9 Blue Reef 3mm boot and they don't go well in my Oceanic fins, the foot pocket is to big for them. They do work well in my Mares Volo fins. I have spring straps that seem to cut in on the back of my foot after a long dive. Hope this is helpful. Karle
Shopper I bought an oceanic V 16 fins, I would like to known if this boots works well with my new oceanic fins. If not, which boots could you recommend to me?
Thank you.
Hernan
DONNA T I don't know if they will work with that particular fin. I really like these dive slippers, they are easy to put on and off and supportive enough without being stiff. I had to get a full foot fin because my foot folds in half and I like the full support of a full bottom fin.
ADAM W They work fine depending on your use. They stand up to light inspection work but not ideal for working dives. Im a commercial diver in the gulf of mexico so they are a tool that I've been satisfied with and I still use when appropriate.
Hope this helps!
hernan93 h My foot is 230 mm long (from the heel to the tip, rounded)... which size of boot should I choose?
Thank you.
Hernan.
EDWIN C all i can tell you is that they fit true to size. so order what you normally wear. if anything always lean towards a half size smaller if you can't get half sizes
JUAN A Z On the label the sizes in millimeters is given as Japanese. You should ask LeisurePro what sizes the low boots are listed. Then choose the size closest to the 230mm you need.
hernan93 h I have measured my foot again and I discover that this is 240 mm long, NOT 230mm... (sorry about that...)
Shopper Hi, I experienced large differences between shoe sizing of different manufacturers. I have shoes from EU size 43 to EU size 45.5.
So I guess the actual length of my foot would help more. My foot is 280mm long.
Which size do you recommend?
Cheers,
Laz
DAVID E I wear size 44 EU and use a size 11
JOHN M Size 13 fits me nicely. My foot is approx 285mm, but wide, US 'ee'. Size 12s are too narrow and cramp my big toe. These boots have no zipper, so they have to slide on without too much trouble. If you have a narrow foot 12s might work, but not if your feet are wide. They are not very sturdy for extended walking, but comfortable used in open back fins. Worth the sale price, but not the standard full price. They don't stand up to hard use.
Shopper Are these men or women's sizing?
LORI S Mens sizing, good boots for boat or sandy shorelines. Allow fin to slide on and off very easily. Not too great fro very rocky shorelines due to sfot bottom.
DAN S I got them for my wife so they aer womens slippers. Itried them on and they were way too small for the size that it says on them.
Dan
Shopper I wear a ladies 7 1/2 what size should i order?
Brett H Size 5 would probably fit you the best.
Shopper if i wear a ladies size 8 what size would i order?
PAULINE W I wear a women's 8 or 8.5, depending on the shoe, and I ordered a 6 in the boot and it fits fine.
George E I'm looking for a boot to wear windsurfing. Where I usually go, I need to carry my gear across a rocky stretch with sharp broken shells. So 2 questions: 1. do these have good sticky soles that'll stick to the board? 2. are the soles tough enough to survive the walk back and forth to the water? Many thanks!
LORI S After talking with my Fiancee. He has worn these on rocky shores. These are definantly dive slippers not boots. On a boat, going off of a dock, or entering a sandy shorline they would be perfect. But entering the water from a rocky shoreline they have too soft of a sole.......Lori Slicker
George E Lori - thanks for doing the fiancee research! Much appreciated.
KURT A George
i found that this a great boot for the pool and not so much for outdoor. When I teach scuba classes I wear these but when I dive in a wetsuit I wear Henderson Boots that slip on because they have a sole like a shoe or boot. I dive alot of quarries in the Ohio area lots of slippery rocks never fell once either. hope that answers your questions
George E Thanks Kurt. I got my certification in a quarry outside Chicago. In late November. No point to the story. Only that it was freaking cold.
JACKEY B I use my Blue Reef Dive Slippers for diving so can not speak to whether they are sticky enough for the windsurfing board but I can say the soles are tough. I do mostly beach entries across rocks and such and the soles have held up very well. The boots fit comfortably and are holding up well after 3 years.
George E Thanks Jackey. I really appreciate your real-world experience with them!
WILLIAM H Hey George. I would say this boot is a good compromise on the gecko grab suppleness to feel your board vs stone crusher work boot. The slant would definitely be towards gecko. I was walking on sharp rocks in the Caymans 2 weeks ago w/ good performance but did not have to go far. If your hike is long and carrying a load, I would have my doubts as to their longevity.
Bill
George E Thanks William. Yeah, I want gecko. Must be something wrong with my form, but I seem to come off the board more than my share...
CRAIG H "MY SON WEARS THEM USUALLY, BUT I TRIED THEM A FEW TIMES. SEEMS OKAY FOR SCUBA AND BASIC BEACH USE. BUT I HAVE A PAIR (5M INSTA-DRY) WHICH HAS A THICKER TREADED SOLE BOOTS THAT PROVIDE MUCH BETTER TRACTION AND SUPPORT ON ROCKY, UNEVEN SURFACES. IF ITS MOSTLY SHELLS, SAND AND SMALL ROCK, THE BLUE REEF WILL PROBABLY BE OKAY. BUT FOR ROUGHER , UP AND DOWN SURFACES, I WOULD LOOK FOR A BOOT WITH MORE SOLE AND ANKLE SIDE SUPPORT WHEN"
RAMONA K I can't answer if they will stick to the board, but for rocky paths they are PERFECT ....one dive site has a steep rocky path that these handle almost as well as the best hiking boots
CRAIG H MY SON WEARS THEM USUALLY, BUT I TRIED THEM A FEW TIMES. SEEMS OKAY FOR SCUBA AND BASIC BEACH USE. BUT I HAVE A PAIR (5M INSTA-DRY) WHICH HAS A THICKER TREADED SOLE BOOTS THAT PROVIDE MUCH BETTER TRACTION AND SUPPORT ON ROCKY, UNEVEN SURFACES. DAVID E I am a diver, so cannot give you a good answer to whether they will stick to the board.
However, I have hiked to dive sites. They work, but are not the best and sturdiest for walking across rocks and sharp surfaces. The soles are a bit soft compared to other dive boots that are out there. There are definitely sturdier ones available, I would say.
ADAM W I can only respond to the second question. I'm a commercial diver and use them while working on platforms with heavy growth. As well as walking across clutteed decks of boats. They are comfy and durable. This will be my third season with them and they are still serviceable. Solid investment as far as commercial dive gear.
George E Thanks Adam! Great to know.
Shopper If I wear a size 10 shoe, should I go down to a 9 in the Dive Slipper or stay with a 10?
LeisurePro S I would recommend a 10 for a man and an 8 for a woman.
Shopper I was looking at the Neo Sport by Henderson 3MM Neoprene Dive Slipper but i'm not sure if they work for closed heel fins. Can you confirm if they work for closed heel fins?
LeisurePro S yes they will.
Shopper I was wondering what size of these boots I should get if I wear a size 10.5 shoe most of the time, should I go up to the 11 or down to the 10?
LeisurePro S Down to 10. Get a fit like a sock not a shoe.
Shopper How do you order sizes for Neo Sport 3MM Neoprene Dive Slipper,
LeisurePro S These are mens sizes. For womens you should go with 2 sizes smaller
