Don't let the Z2's price tag fool you; this regulator may be inexpensive, but it is anything other than cheap. The Z2 second stage features a precision machined brass demand valve tube, plated with Palladium/Zirconium for corrosion resistance 3-4 times that of conventional chrome plating. The lever, orifice and second stage spring are titanium. and its first stage is chrome-plated brass and type 316 stainless steel. The Seat Saving Orifice is a patented means to keep the first stage from ever deteriorate or leak; if you want longevity from your scuba gear, the Z2 is for you! The Z2 also offers Atomic Aquatic's AFC (Automatic Flow Control), which is a patented means for automatically adjusting the diver's airflow at depth.
