Skip D I have a powerlifter's build- 5'10, 220lbs, 45" chest, 36" waist... I'm assuming the XL would be best, but I notice that the waist range is 37+. Will the xl be too loose around the waist for me?
CASEY M Yes! It will be WAY too loose is the waist. Unfortunately, XL is for fatties, not muscular physiques.

LeisurePro S A 7/5mm wetsuit will be well suited for water temperatures around 55-65 degrees Fahrenheit.
Shopper I am thinking about this suit but the size chart doesn't match me very well. I would fit in the XL for weight, chest and waist, but my height is only 5'10". I really don't think the Medium would fit me well though. What size would you recommend for this 7/5mm?
LeisurePro S It is more important to match weight, waist and chest measurements than height when sizing a wetsuit. So if you fit within the parameters for an XL, I would recommend that as then you can, as you know, slide or fold up the ends.
Shopper question#1.. would i use less weight with the one piece versis the two peice? currently i use 30 lbs. in a 2 piece. and question #2 what size would i need ..my weight 215lbs and heght is 5'11'' waist 38 and chest is a 44. thank-you
LeisurePro S Yes, you will need to use less weight with a one piece than a two since with a two piece suit, you will have a double layer of neoprene over your core area. Obviously though, the two piece suit will keep you warmer and better insulated than the one piece if you are diving in cold water. I would recommend starting with the 2XL.
Shopper What size would you recommend for this suit? I measure: Height - 73 in.; weight - 180 lbs. Chest - 41 in. Waist - 38 in.

LeisurePro S Yes, this is a one piece full suit. The 7/5 means that the suit is 7mm thick in the chest/core area and 5mm in the arms and legs to allow for greater flexibility. 7/5 suits are best used in water that is about 55-65 degrees F.
Shopper Should the suit be tight? Does it break in after awhile?
LeisurePro S The rule of thumb with suits is to get the suit that fits the tightest without being uncomfortable. If you have a hard time getting it on and it feels a little weird moving your arms and legs=good. If your circulation is being cut off at the wrists or ankles or it's really restricting your breathing=bad. The suit won't necessarily "break in", but when you do get in the water with it, and the neoprene gets saturated with water, it will be much more comfortable and MUCH more easy to move around in.
Shopper I'm considering this suit. Quarry diving and Lake Michigan diving with water temperatures around 55-60 F. Will this suit give me the comfort and warmth I'm looking for? Thank you. Ed Rottman
LeisurePro S Everyone gets cold a little differently. I would say it will work for me. Should you get cold you can always add a vest and don't forget a hood and boots.
