The Alpha 9 CDX-5 features effortless breathing in a compact design that is extremely tough yet easy to maintain and service, and is paired with a compact over-balanced diaphragm first stage. The CDX5 first stage is made of Chrome Plated Marine Grade Brass and is a Balanced Diaphragm Design. With this design water doesn't enter the first stage, which means the CDX5 is excellent for ice diving (it won't freeze up) or diving in waters filled with contaminants or sediment (it won't corrode). Environmentally sealed, the diaphragm membrane transmits the pressure changes to the internal mechanism eliminating the need for the surrounding water to enter the intricate mechanism. The benefit of this type of first stage design is that none of the internal parts are exposed to contaminants such as salt, sand, chlorine or pool acids. These environmental contaminants cause corrosion and mineral deposits to form on the internal mechanism deteriorating regulator performance. The Flex Jacket Style BC is made with Patented BoiFlex material- a living fabric" that stretches, flexes and conforms to your body. The BCD has Torso Adjustable Shoulder Straps, Adjustable Depth Compensating Cummerbund with a Quick-Release Buckle and a Dual Adjust Sternum Strap with a Safety Whistle all to make the BCD a comfortable and safe fit. Flex has left and right retractor and knife mounts along with strategically placed D-Rings. Buoyancy Control is made easy with Oceanic's Power Inflator with cable activated pull dump, two Overpressure Relief/Dump Valves, with one connected to the right shoulder and another on the lower rear right. BCD is available in 7 sizes from X-Small to 2X-Large and comes with an LP Inflator Hose.

The Pressure Gauge is a Shock Resistant Bourdon Tube Mechanism. Gauge has Oceanic's OceanGlo Luminescent Gauge Face. Pressure Gauge is equipped with Temperature Gauge, One-Way Safety Valve and a Double Kevlar Braided High Pressure Hose with Triple Chrome Plated Marine Brass Fittings with 7/16" Threaded end. The Pressure Gauge has a Pressure Readout from 0 to 5,000 psi with Bright Fluorescent Caution Zone from 0 to 500 psi for added safety.
