The newest model, the X TYPE, offers a totally new X shaped profile, which significantly reduces bulk, virtually eliminates gagging and improves molding by earlier engagement of the teeth during closure. The new X TYPE also includes an improved one piece molding and sealing attachment with a bite limiter which eliminates the possibility of over closure during the heat molding process. Over closure reduces air flow during diving. The attachment is used in the molding process and then to keep debris out of the regulator.
My 2 cents--much small than the seacure I purchased 6 years ago. Have not used it yet, but fit is nice. Brian
LAUREN S I own both the Hi-Flow and the X Type SeaCure mouthpieces. I bought the Hi-Flow about 2-3 years ago and the X Type about 1-2 months ago. The molding instructions of the Hi-Flow lists 3 U.S. patents, while the X Type instructions list the same 3 patents PLUS a patent pending. Therefore, I would say that the X model is newer that the Hi-Flow. Both work great and make my diving experience MUCH more comfortable and "seacure".

BRIAN G John. I used a seacure II. If you go to seacure web they list cressi in seacure I all but the type you have is a Seacure II

RHONDA H Sorry, I'm not familiar with Cressi 1st and 2nd stage, the mouthpiece I ordered was for a Scubapro reg, and it fit perfectly. I also have a Seacure mold able mouthpiece for our other reg, a Sherwood. I highly recommend the Seacure Custom Mouthpiece, I just can't speak to how a certain model would fit your regulator.

Marilyn S People have used these without teeth but jaw fatigue can be an issue. It would work better with dentures.
LANNIE K I am 73 with false teeth, just started with the moldable mouthpice. love it ! even if it last 2 years it is cheap enough to replace you custom fit it to your mouth and it is nor rocket scienct to get it right.

Dmitriy L I have Cressi Ellipse Balanced MC9 regulator. What size do I need? There is no this model in the listing.
STEPHANIE L we have scuba pro and an old Mares so no help here, but we called the manufacture of SeaCure, we got the phone number from the Leisure Pro staff, and they were happy to provide the correct model number. I suppose they, SeaCure, have a website with phone number or email also
JANOC M I recently purchased this mouthpiece for my Cressi Ellipse MC5. According to the seacure site the correct size for any Cressi Ellipse model is a size 1 (snug fit) and according to the documentation included in the package it should be size 2. Don't even bother with a size 1, I almost broke my finger attempting to put it on. Size 2 was really hard, so hard that I had to soften the whole thing a bit in hot water so it would fit but, that's only me, because I lack patience. According to Seacure you shouldn't do that but at least for me -so far, so good. My recommendation would be to measure the aperture on your regulator and look for the size. Hope this helps.

Looks like the Ellipse is a Seacure 1 with a snug fit. This means you're going to have to jam it in there.
