robert g How does inflatable compare with hard shell construction of other type kayaks in regards to handling in the water, comfort of seating, value for the money,durability over a long period of time, does it puncture?
TARA J Handling and comfort are great... even more comfortable than the comparable hard shell construction, but I can't speak for durability yet... no problems in the few months I've used it, though.
Whats in the box:Sevylor 1-Person Pointer Kayak, Sevylor Paddle Head out to the shore in any car when you pack a Sevylor Pointer 1 Person Kayak. This inflatable boat works just like a traditional kayak, except when you're ready to pack up, it fits inside a luggage-style bag for compact carrying and storage. While you're in the water, you'll paddle longer in comfort with a padded seat and back rest. When you hit rough rapids, the whitewater spray cover will help keep you and your seat dry. Pack food and gear in the rear covered cargo hatch or under the deck's bungee lacing, and easily carry the kayak over shallow water and in and out of the water with the bow and stern handles. The rigid floor, flat bottom and three-chamber design keep the boat's solid shape on the water and offer added security if you get snagged. The thick PVC and durable reinforcement fabric are part of the Airtight System that's guaranteed not to leak, and the Double Lock Fast Valve makes quick work of inflation and deflation. The one-person 10 ft. 5 in. x 2 ft. 11 in. kayak holds up to 300 lbs.
