TOBY C It is not mesh but there are sections that are for easy rinsing in a tib of fresh water.

I would imagine it could be used at the airport. I see no reason why not.
PATRICK F No, it's not a mesh bag, it?s a medium to large duffle bag, the quality is good, it has an external bag that closes with a clip, that seems to be designed to fit a pair of fins, I was able to fit my Xlarge pair of Atomic Aquatic Split Fins perfectly. It has heavy duty sippers, as expected for this kind of bags
It has a lot of room for a 1 person gear, even with the large fins, two masks with protection boxes, regulator, a wetsuit, one knife, weght belt with weights, gloves, snorkel, Bouyancy Compensator, still has some room left
I have not given any hard use yet, so far, at this moment for what I have seen I absolutely recommend it
MATTHEW H No, it is not a mesh bag, but it does have 2 small drain holes on the bottom and 2 more on the side. The real advantage is that, yes, it can be used as a bag to check at the airport. It's very durable and roomy - several of my family have one and everyone loves it.

JACK B It is NOT a mesh bag. It is NOT transparent. I intend to check it on a flight, much like a duffel bag. I bought a set of wheels for it, a little luggage dolly, and will attach it with a few bungee cords.

MICHAEL P This is not a mesh bag, I believe it is completely nylon. It does not fold as well as my mesh but it feels better. It has a few drain holes on the bottom of the bag to release whatever water comes inside the bag. The Oceanic Logo is just a logo, it is solid.
It is a duffel bag so it should be able to be checked at the airport. I would treat it as any other duffel bag. I like the fact that it has a storage compartment for the fins and it keeps them separate from everything else.
I am going to be using it for the first time in the second week of December. My mesh bag did not have a should strap which was very annoying. This one does! For the price, in my opinion you can not go wrong. Even if you use it as a duffel bag to carry items to the beach. A great buy that was on SURF CIRCLE for $20. Hope this answers your question!

TAMMY D I'm not sure about he airport question. It is no mesh-thick durable canvas/vinyl bag with a compartment for fins. This bag is very large and can get very heavy once stocked , but handles and straps Are quite durable. I carry bc, regs, weights, 7mm suite, hood , gloves, fins, bathing suit, mask , snorkel, towel and there is still room for more.
