Max B Does anyone know if this BC would work for women? I want to get one for my wife. She is 5.8' 145 Lbs what size should I get for her?
MARCOS C Hi Max- She probably needs small as a size. I have a size large and i am 5'9" 193lbs with a larger upper body frame than average. It weighs (large size) 12 lbs (without weights) . The BCD overall comes without any complaints but keep in mind that it has 2 straps to secure your tank. I believe this is a bit unusual but it turns out that it worked for me because I purchased a 120 tank which is longer and 7 to 9 pounds heavier than other standard sizes. Good luck and take the dive!

I am a male 5'7' 180lbs and purchased a Medium in Nov 2012 and have PLENTY of room with a 3mm wet suite.
I don't know how much the sizes will differ from MD to SM but I give you this info as a reference.
TY S I bought this same BCD and it works great. I don't see why it wouldn't work well for her. As far as sizing I am 6'4 275 lbs and I got the 2XL and it fit great. Hope this helps.

WILLIAM J Max I dont see any reason why it would not work for a woman. But I do know this they run big. I am a big guy. 6'4" 310lbs and I wear a 2XL. If you call Leisure Pro and talk to there sales dept they will help you with your problem. But from what you discribed for your wife I would say Med to Small. Hope this helped.

I'm title over 6 foot and 205 in a large.
JOE M I am 5'10 and 170# and I own this bc in a size large. Sherwood size chart shows size medium as 5'4-5'8 height 140-170# weight so probably a medium for her.

A convenient utility pocket with Velcro closure sized to carry the AKONA Safety Tube (SKU: AKNST). A removable and adjustable sternum strap for a complete fit and an easy to operate oral and power inflator makes buoyancy control a snap when diving. Three dump valves strategically located at the left and right shoulders with a third on the lower left of the air cell make dumping air a breeze. The right and lower dump/overpressure relief valves have pull dump handles for quick access. The third valve is integrated to the top of the power inflator and is activate by a cable running down the corrugated power inflator hose. The Avid CQR 3 BCD is available in 7 sizes from XS to 3XL with a lift capacity of 20 to 36 lbs (9 to 16.3 kg). The air cell is manufactured with durable and heavy-duty 1000 Denier that is urethane laminated for air tight integrity. The X-Small and Small can accommodate 16 lbs (7.26 kg) of releasable weight and 10 lbs (4.5 kg) of non-releasable weight. The Medium, Large and X-Large accommodate 20 lbs (9 kg) of releasable weight and 10 lbs (4.5 kg) of non-releasable weight, while the 2 and 3 X-Large accommodate 26 lbs (11.8 kg) of releasable weight and 10 lbs (4.5 kg) of non-releasable weight. The Avid BCD comes equipped with a Low Pressure Hose; Owner's Manual and is covered by a 24 month limited warranty.
