A light with AFO feature, gives the user the opportunity to use it as a focus light in photography. Today's modern digital cameras have very accurate auto focus features but they require a certain amount of light and contrast in order to function. Sometimes this is a problem underwater, so having a continuous light mounted above the port will help the camera to focus. The FF-4x5 AFO is perfect for this purpose since the Auto Flash-Off function will automatically turn off the light for 1 seconds when your strobes fire. This way the focus light will not affect your photo even if you are shooting at a slow shutter speed. The 4x 5W LED provides 750 lumens of light that is bright enough to assist your camera's auto focus even on night dives.
The FF-4x5 AFO is powered with 8 AA batteries; either Alkaline or NiMH will work. It has a burn time of up to 2 hours at full Lumens. The light is constructed from aluminum alloy, and is anodized, to be anti-corrosive. The FF-4x5 AFO can be used as a primary dive light or a top-of-the-line focus light. The light has a color temperature of 6500 K, and a beam angle from 44 degrees. The light has a unique "Flying-Fish" shape, and features a rotary magnetic switch with transportation lock.
The light is equipped with a Thermal Protection System that helps prevent the light from overheating by cutting off the power, in case of prolonged use on land, or when the torch has been exposed to temperatures above158 F (70 C). Light is Depth Rated to 330' (100 meters), the front glass is made from Tempered Optical Glass and the light has a double O-Ring Seal. The long lasting LED Lamp is guaranteed a life span of 50,000 hours, reducing the need for periodic replacement of the lamp.
The Torch measures 2.67" x 8.54" (68 x217 mm) and weighs 27.58 oz (782 g) with batteries (on land) and is negatively buoyant underwater weighing 9.49 oz (269 g). Included with the torch is a 1" (26 mm) standard Ball Joint for photography mounting, a Lantern Grip for uses as a dive light and a wrist lanyard.
