Divers are all supposed to carry a Surface Marker Buoy (SMB) and Signaling Devises to comply with national dive safety standards. That nice, but your safety is important with or without standards, so the smart diver always carries a surface marker buoy and Signaling Devises on every dive. XS Scuba's Rescue Kit with Safety Marker Buoy is a complete Kit for the Safety Conscious Diver. Kit includes a huge with a 75" (190.5 cm) overall length and a 7.5" (19.1 cm) width SMB. Built tough to last, Surface Marker Buoy is manufactured from Tough Urethane-Backed, Nylon Material for durability and years of service. Buoy has SOLAS reflective tape on both sides for maximum visibility.

Surface Marker Buoy is equipped with elastic loop at top for attachment of a chemical light for night diving applications, and has a 316-Stainless Steel D-Ring for attachment of a slate or small light/strobe. An Overpressure Relief Valve with pull for manual release of air, a combination oral and BCD QD Inflation Valve with Cap Cover, Anti-Spill" Bottom with Baffle to allow easy fill from any air device and it keeps buoy inflated until you empty it.

Buoy has an 18" (45.7 cm) Step-Thru Leg Harness with Stainless Steel D-Ring at Bottom and Nylon Lift Handle at Top for Easy Retrieval from a boat or dock. A Built-In Mesh Pocket at the base of the SMB allows convenient storage of Chemical Light, Storm Whistle, Rescue Flash Mirror and Buddy Connect Webbing. XS Scuba's SMB is available in Orange or Yellow Colors.

The Rescue Kit also includes a Cyalume 6" (15.2 cm) Chemical Light with a 12 hour burn time which can be easily attached to the SMB for better visibility in night diving activities. Attached to the SMB at eye level is a Liquid Filled 1" x 1" (2.5 x 2.5 cm) Directional Compass to be used as a navigational aid. The Kit also includes a Storm Whistle the loudest whistle in the world which can make noise up to 130 dB so you can be heard from great distances on the surface up to .5 miles (0.8 km). A 3" x 2" (7.6 x 5.1 cm) Rescue Flash Signal Mirror with Aiming Hole for correct positioning is also included to reflect sunlight from mirror to boat, aircraft, land, etc. Use the 10' (3 meters) long Buddy Connector Webbing to keep yourself and your buddy together. Buddy Connector is equipped with Easy Snap Attachment to the 1.5" (3.8 cm) Stainless Steel D-Ring located at the bottom of the SMB. The Kit comes complete with a Durable Nylon Mesh Carry Bag with a Drawstring with Barrel Lock Closure. The Kit when stowed in the Mesh Bag measures a compact 8" x 3" (20.3 x 7.6 cm) and weighs approximately 16 oz (454 g), easily fitting in your BCD Pocket or clipped to your gear.
