CHRISTOPHER D I'm having trouble figuring out have to put the buckle on my weight belt. Can anyone help explain how to put it on a weight belt?
LIDIA AND SIMON V This is a great buckle for scuba. It does keep your belt in one place as advertised. It does get squeaky as you breathe, but for the most part you will never even notice it.

Put the buckle on the left side of the belt through the two slots.
This will allow you to have a right hand release .
You will love this buckle it is well worth the $$$.
Use it a time or two to see if you need to trim the belt .
If you hated adjusting your belt at depth due to it getting loose this will correct this issue.
If you do not have bungee or spring straps on your fins Get some when you can.
you will love the No adjusting fin straps at depth either.

MARY W The belt threads through the "roller" on the closed side of the buckle. The space for the belt is narrow. If your belt is new and stiff, it may take a bit of pushing to get it through the slot. (That's what I found out the hard way). But this is a great buckle otherwise--no slippage! It won't come open!

LeisurePro S What it means by "depth-compensating" is that the buckle is spring loaded to add depth compensation to a weight belt. This eliminates the need for weight belt adjustment while diving due to wetsuit decompression/expansions.
Tired of adjusting your weight belt underwater due to wet suit compression at depth? This spring loaded "Depth Compensating" stainless steel weight belt buckle is what you want. Threads onto standard two inch webbing- When you snug your weight belt to your waist prior to submerging underwater the spring loaded buckles spring stretches out to keep the belt snug. As you descend and your wet suit compresses a normal weight belt becomes loose. Not the belt equipped with this "Depth Compensating" Buckle. Its spring compresses with your wet suit continuously compensating for the loss of thickness and synching your weight belt up. When you start to ascend the buckle spring re-expanse to compensate for the expanding wet suit keeping your belt comfortable and snug from the start to the finish of your dive.
