RICHARD C you put the BCD strap through under the pins are. Your pony bottle will be on the smaller ring.
This one of the best ring holder and made strong and light. The only issues that I might have is the complete gear that you will have might make you off balance at the surface and hard to find a perfect stop at the boat to put your setup because the cylider mount will not fit after you have this set up. Altough I found a perfect place once at the edge of the mount area. But you can be creative when out there.
JEFF H The bracket with the pins attaches to the tank strap on your BC, and the ring attaches to your pony bottle. The ponty is removed or attached buy pulling or replacing one of the pins. Quick and easy.

The base plate fits on the BCD tank strap. I like the design because in an emergency the pins can be removed allowing a diver needin extra air to swin separate from me. Thankfully I have not had to use it.
I draw back is depending on the placement of the BCD tank strap the pony may or may not sit up in a boat tank carrier.

STEVEN H Hi, the arched part of the bracket is underneath your tank strap. This is the best pony tank holder on the market.
POAGE P The strap goes between the pip pins and the bracket. The bottle is mounted in the hoop. It is easy on/off by just pulling the pins. It is very easy to use.
