Shopper hi all.. is it easy to carry on the airplane? how many kg is it? and is it bulky? been thinking to buy either back jac or air travel series..
DARRYL W This is a great BC for wreck or tech diving Not a travel BC that is thin fabric and ultra lite. But think more rugged and tear proof in a wreck with awesome D rings and locations. I love this BC, But if you want something lite and easy to pack this might not be the choice. However you will be sacrificing durability and function.;) Good luck!!!!
DEVIN W If you are looking for a bc just to travel with then air travel might be the way to go. The bac jack is a more durable and better built BCD I believe, but I needed something to use on a regular bases while spearfishing. The back jac has plenty of D rings and pockets to carry any accessory you may have. As far as weight I am not sure but it is very comfortable and easy to maneuver in.
EDWARD W I have traveled with the Back Jac twice. Each time it was packed in my suit case; it was not in a carry on bag. The dimensions of the suit case I use are the max allowed, without having to pay an overcharge. The suit case has an upper an lower compartment. I am able to fit my Back Jac, 3mm wet suit, and mask, fins and snorkel in the lower compartment. The upper compartment is used for my clothes. The regulator and computer come with me in a carry on bag. I'm not sure of it's weight, but I was able to get all of the above items in the suit case without going over the weight limit.

Whats in the box:BCD, LP Hose, Releasable Weight Pockets, Inflator and Owner's Manual In Cressi's new AERO range, the Back Jac is Cressi's Back Inflation Wing model that offers maximum buoyancy in a back inflation buoyancy compensator. The ergonomic design of the harness and the elastic retractor bands surrounding the air cell keep the BCD's profile low and compact making the diver hydrodynamic when fining. Whether on a reef, wreck, or cavern penetration dive this BCD will deliver streamline buoyancy for the most demanding diver. The BCD is equipped with two discreet zippered concealed accessory pockets for storage of your back-up light or small digital camera. Pockets supply more room then on other BCD's that can barely hold your dive gloves. These pockets can be kept concealed when not in use further streamlining your profile and avoiding snagging on the reef, wreck or in a cave. The integrated Lock Aid quick-release weight system hold up to 20 lbs (9 kg), 10 lbs (4.5 kg) in each pocket with two rear non-releasable weight trim pockets help increase stability in the water. The back support is rigid for proper cylinder stability, but is fully padded for comfort. The two-piece elastic waistband/cummerbund harness assembly is an independent suspension system that allows the cylinder and the diver to keep proper stability and avoid cylinder shifting on the back, while allowing the BCD's air cell to fully inflate away from the diver not causing restriction or crushing effect as with non-ergonomic designs. Adjustable sternum straps along with both torso adjustment straps are equipped with quick-release buckles. The BCD has three over pressure relief/dump valves with two located on the left and right shoulders and a third lower valve on the rear right of the air cell. All three can be manually dumped two with pull cords and the other with the power inflator mechanism. There are six stainless steel D-rings with two on the shoulder straps, two on the bottom of the BCD and two on the pocket lobes for attachment of instruments and accessories. The Back Jac also comes equipped with a ridged carry handle and soft nylon adjustable carry handle. Back Jac is manufactured with durable 500 Denier Nylon, is available in 5 sizes from XS to XL and has excellent lift capacities that range from 29.2 lbs (13.3 kg) in the x-small and small sizes up to 50.6 lbs (23.0 kg) in x-large. BCD comes with an Owner's Manual, is equipped with Cressi's new power inflator mechanism and is covered by a 12 month limited warranty.
