DAN D It is a slightly positively buoyant however, you should not need to add more than 1 lb of additional weight.

CHARLES P The holes in the vest are large enough that it will not chafe. The vest sizes seem to be a bit small so you may need to order a size above your norm. I am clearly a large and ordered the XL which is very tight.
