Shopper What thickness is this hood? I am looking in the specs and info but can't seem to find it. thanks!
PHILIP M Thin as the Lycra material . Very thin.
JAMES L Very thin like a rash guard
ROY M its not that thick and i use it in jamaica so for that kind of wather its perfect. its like they used the skins wet suit to make it but you dubble that . i hope i was some form of help good luck
MARK F It is a dive skin. As such, a tropical thickness. Very thin!
KIMBRA R The Licra hood is very thin...about the same thickness as a dive skin. Works ok to keep long layered hair out of your mask but it does tend to slip around on your head during a dive. May provide a tiny bit of warmth but not much.
TIM W The hood is about the thickness of a rashguard. I use it mostly to keep the sun off my head and neck.
JAMES P It's just a thin skin-suit hood and has no thermal properties that I'm aware of, anymore than one would get from a regular stretchy skin-suit. It does shield one from direct sunlight and jellyfish, and so on.
SUSAN N It's thin - a microfiber. Not for warmth, just to keep you hair out of the way. My second one. I love them.
DAVID K I actually returned the item because I naively purchased it with the intent of using it here in the Caribbean - (Culebra). too hot! I believe the thickness may have been about 2mm. Leisure Pro was good about the return.
The Neos$port Swim Skins have been great and an incredibly good value.
ANTHONY S It's just like a thin skin suit. No warmth, just protection from ear contamination.
APRIL S This hood is like a dive skin (very thin). I would guess less than 1 mil. I went to Henderson's web site and found the specs when I purchased it. It was just what I wanted. In fact, I purchased 2 of them.
BRANDON D C It's thin lycra, not really a neoprene. So probably 1mm or less in thickness.
DAVID L It's about as thick as a T-shirt. No real thermal protection but great for sun protection. We used it all season for bay scallops and never got burned.
