DAWN L no, it just means you can put it under a heavier suit
ALMA H No the suit is one piece. You can wear it alone for warmer climates or over/under a full piece jumper with sleeves. I wore mine over my long sleeve polartec jumpsuit and it kept me warm in 78-79 degree water.

Thermoprene material is both glued and blind stitched, which not only clamps down on water seepage, it also provides tremendous durability. All edges are finished with a Lycra trim.
