Questions about this item:
kyu hyun L i need help of sizing.
I'm 5.8 fit tall , 154 pound weight, 34inch chest, 34 waist.
what is my size? S / M / M Tall
I think i'm M size....
JOHN B order both med and large. send one back after you try them on. That's what I would do.
ALFRED C The suit I purchased was just a bit large based on the sizing chart. It fits fine, but if I had the chance I would buy a size smaller next time. Hope that helps...
JOHN C Probably would need a Medium....I am 5'11" and about 185 and a Large is a perfect fit for me....these suits run pretty true to size and move very well. I've been very happy with mine - I have a shorty, a 3mm full suit and a 5mm full suit.
WALLACE E You and I are about the same size, but I can't be of any help as the descriptive sizes were not the same when I bought this suit in 2007. I suggest you give Leisure Pro detailed measurements and let them decide.
P.S. I'm still using this suit!
10022 1 Medium will work well..
Shopper My husband and I each want these 3mm suits. I have a Henderson 5mm thermoprene with a back zip. We are not sure if we should try the front zips for our 3mms. Thoughts?
JOHN C I couldn't say about front-zip, but I have this very suit in the 3mm, 5mm, and shorty back-zip....they are the best wet suits I've owned - easy to don and doff, comfortable, and functional. Even the 5mm is easy to move around in. I highly recommend this product.
JOHN B Have had only one wetsuit with a front zipper,( and it was a skin) I cannot answer question very well. But here are my thoughts: I have seen several divers with frontzip shorties that required help in removing them (at shoulders) ;however, frontzip makes it very handy for a man to urinate without getting it in his wetsuit.
STEVE S Unfortunately, I have only had limited use with mine, but I have no issues with my zip. The thought of a front zip sounds good, and my recommendation would be for you to go to your local dive shop and try the front zip on and see if you like it enough to give it a try. Hope this helps......
LARRY L Hello,
I have both the 5mm and 3 mm thermoprene suits. The back zip for the 3mm suits are a whole lot easier to zip than the 5mm. I would think, however, that a front zip would be more convenient to unzip in order to have the top half of the suit pulled down in between dives, although doing the same with the back zip isn't all that inconvenient. I think it would be a matter of personal preference. Hope this is helpful.
JONATHAN R I like my back zip....but its a personal preference. I use this suit for Caribbean diving and it works great.
SAM B Would not go for a front zip, hard to get out of. Back zipper is easier to remove wetsuit unaided.
WILIAM M Both my wife and I have 3mm Henderson suits. Mine is back-close and hers is front-zip. She LOVES the convenience of the front-zip. I like the back-zip just fine - old-fashioned I guess. They're great all-round suits - Lembeh to northern Cortez - and hold up well.
DONNIE L I am on the heavier side and I can zip my wetsuit fairly easy now. I have to admit the first couple times were difficult. However, if you have any shoulder issues I would definitely buy a front zip.
Hope that helps
Shopper I need help with sizing.
I am 5'8" 175lbs with a 32" waist and 44" chest!
what do you think?
Also, I will be using this primarily in Hawaii for recreational diving. Is the 3mm the way to go?
ANDREY S I am closed to your sizing and this suit did pretty good job in Hawaii last year for me.
RONALD F I am 5'7" and 145 lbs, and the medium fits me - it might be a bit snug for you, so the large might be a better choice. We dive mostly in warm (80-84 F) Carribean water, where most of our friends dive with only wetskins, and I wear a 3mm plus a hood. Your preferences for wetsuit thickness may be quite different. In those conditions this keeps me nice and warm. We dove in Hawaii, where the water was several degrees cooler and I would have preferred a 5mm wetsuit, but you may find the 3mm sufficient. The suit is constructed well has held up after over 100 dives.
ALFRED C Hi,
I'm 6'1" and about 190# with 34" waist and 44" chest and the suit is a little big on me.
I live in Fiji and used it last weekend at the peak of one of the coolest spells we've had and it was fine. Great suit with great features, but I would've preferred if it were just a little more snug.
STEPHEN B One thing I found with this blend of neoprene is that is is super stretchy. I bought a large and at 6' 0" 170lb's it was too big. When I first put it in it fit almost perfectly, but the water flowed easily into the suit and I had big pockets of water that just stretched the suit and sat inside. With a weight belt on the water all collected above it and it looked like I had an inner tube around my waist. If I had bought the next size down it may have compressed enough that the water would not be able to flow in but I may have needed and even smaller suit. Then again maybe this suit would never work for my body type. Let me re-empasize how much it stretches. I know neoprene stretches as I have 6-7 wet suits already but this suit will stretch 2-3 sizes larger. Buy it small IMO.
WALLACE E Great suit! I bought a Henderson 3mm in 2007. I was 5' 10" and weighed 150 lbs at the time. It is now a little snug in the waist because of weight gain. As I remember, they only offered small, medium and large at that time. I suggest giving all your measurements to LeisurePro and let them select the size.
I live in the Cayman Islands and find the 3mm o.k. for the water here..... usually 78-82 degrees..
Bill R Size question:
I'm 6'3", 190 lbs, 42" chest, 35" waist.
Tall long??
Many thanks
RONALD F I'm 5'8" and 145 lbs. doubt it would fit you
Bill R Thanks Ron, though not sure I understand your response. You're right. Yours would not fit me. Maybe it would fit my son. I guess I don't follow.
RONALD F Not sure I understand your question of "tall long" I have a men's medium and it fits me. I like the suit. What exactly are you asking. I can't comment about any other sizes
Bill R Wel, yeah. I know you can't. That's why I was asking others who are similar in size to me. LOL.
I'm glad you like the suit though. I ordered one today! A tall long one, to be precise.
TONY C I did not get the tall version. I am 5 10 and the regular version fits like a glove. Ymmv
Tony
TED K More importantly might be how long your arms and legs are. I'm 6'2" and I fold about an inch of sleeve back on itself because the regular is too long. No biggie though. If you have the time before a trip, get the regular and if it does not fit, return it. It is a fantastic wetsiit though. I am an instructor and mine is over 2 years old and still going strong!
Bill R Thanks Ted - do you wear a large?
TED K Lol. No, at 250 - I'm in a XXL.
Bill R Thanks Dana. Very helpful. Do you find the suit adequate for low to mid 70's diving?
DANA K Hi Bill,
I purchased this wetsuit in 2010 and have been extremely happy with it.
I'm 6'2", 195 lbs, 42" chest, 36" waist, 35" sleeve length. I purchased a "large" and it fits very well. However, looking at the size chart (and the fact that you're an inch taller than me), a "tall-large" may be better.
PETER C I'm 6'1", 180lbs, 40-41" chest, and 33" waist and I ordered the 5mm suit which fit very well. My neck measurement is 15 1/2" and arms are 35-36". The suit has a little extra room in the chest area-maybe a 1/2-1 inch. Overall, I was very pleased with this suit. I originally ordered the 3mm but returned because I like the extra warmth. The suit fit the same way.
Bill R Thanks Peter. What size did you order?
PETER C That would help...Large
Bill R Great Peter - thanks. I ordered one today. Tall long
WALLACE E I bought my Henderson in 2007 and it was marked "M". Apparently they have a different sizing system now so I can't be of much help. I'm 5' 9" and weigh 150 pounds and the M is just a tad tight in the chest. I would think Leisure Pro could give you a good fit from your measurements. (?)
I'm still using my 3mm and have had no problem with it. Good suit!

Shopper would this suit work well for kayaking?
JOHN B Never having been in a kayak, I have no idea. It is a very nice suit for diving; however, the Henderson Stretch Titanium suit is of a better quality. Also more expensive. For the price the Thermoprene is an excellent suit.
STEVEN F I have not used it for kayaking, but use it for diving in the carribean. It is very comfortable, easy to put on and take off and the knee guards are nice when getting in and out of dive boats.
JONATHAN R If a full suit is what you are looking for than yes. I just took a trip to the virgin islands and used the 3mm in 79 degree water and it kept me warm. It also guards against coral hits.
ANDREY S I think it will. It is very flexible. The suit's collar fits well to avoid water penetration.
DANA K In answer to your question, yes, I think it would work well. The Thermoprene material is very flexible and offers a great range of movement. The 3mm is just thin enough so you don't feel encumbered, yet thick enough to offer protection against the cold.
RONALD F I don't kayak, so I can't answer that.
JEREMY L I took a swim in mine when my kayak tipped. Initial entry want too bad but when I fell back in I started to get cold. Dont fall in ;) In any case, I consider this something of a budget suit. I think there are better. I do think 3mm is a decent compromise for most kayaking as its still pretty movable and has some warmth/protection... but others will fit/move better. I just bought the (closeout) 5mm Bare Elastek. Its on a UPS truck but I expect it to me MUCH nicer fit (I have recently become a big fan of Bare). Also one of the 3/2 suits would prob work well and allow some movement of limbs.
PETER C not sure as I used it for diving. I have made 6 dives in 75-80 degree water and stayed comfortable. In cooler water I most likely would have been cold. The suit was very comfortable, flexable and true to size.
GREG A Can't see why not. The only thing might be that it fits fairly tight and may be a bit restrictive. So far it hasn't been a problem diving but don't use my arms much underwater. I would stick to warm water if posssible cold rivers or lakes might require a thicker neoprene. Good luck!
DONALD K wetsuits keep you warm by allowing water inside. your body heat warms the water and keeps you warm. wetsuits in the wind tend to keep you a bit too cool. but if you have used wetsuits before (many kayakers use them), this one would be excellent. it is very flexible and lightweight for a 3mm wetsuit. very easy to doff and don without help, so you can always remove the top half and let it hang down if you get too warm.
WALLACE E I would think this suit would be great for kayaking in cold water/weather. As in any wetsuit, strenuous activity heats you up quickly, so I personally wouldn't use any wetsuit in hot weather...... but I live in the Caymans.
GARY S This my 2nd Henderson 3m suit and I have been very happy with both of them , my only coment would be that after 6 or 7 years I got a little pilling or fuzz on the wear areas on the sleeve of my first one.I don't see any problem using it for kayaking.
MARK T Yes, full suit, warm and gives some lift in the water in case of a spill. I have several different henderson wetsuits and have like them all.
Greg H Is this a unisex jumpsuit?
STANLEY M My girlfriend, 5'9", 135 pounds (so a runners build like me) got the same size as me of this suit and she had no problem's with it.
That said, I'm no expert and wouldn't know what qualifies a suit to be unisex other then fit.
RONALD F This is a men's jumpsuit. The chest is shaped for a man, and the torso is longer than would fit most women.
GREG A I purchased the Henderson Thermoprene 3MM wetsuit to use while diving in the Cancun and Cozumel area waters. I have found it to be extremely well constructed and quite suitable for mid temperature diving. It fits well and is easy to get on and off. The question was raised as to it functoning as a unisex suit and I would say no. The suit fits quite tight on me and the chest area would not fit any women that I know. Overall it's a great suit for a very good price.
WALLACE E No, Greg...... I think sex in this suit is out of the question! Seriously, I think it would be too tight in the bust area for the ladies. I'm 5' 9" and weigh 155 lbs and find my XL Thermoprene a tad snug. I don't know if they are still using the same size designations but if I need another one (I don't. It's held up beautifully.) I'll send in my measurements and let them select the size.
Hope this helps.

DONALD K Yes and No. It's designed for males, but remember all wetsuits are unisex in that all were once designed for males and females had to make do. Today there are no true unisex suits although more wetsuits are being designed for the female body type.
Greg H Thank you Donald. The information was very helpful.
ANDREY S It can be, although there is no information about it. It's black with blue inserts.
Greg H Andrey, I really appreciate your info.
Shopper I'd like to buy one Henderson 2008 Thermoprene 3mm Mens Jumpsuit but I am not sure on the size. I am 40 (chest) 33 (waist) 6ft tall 160 lbs.
LeisurePro S Yea, unfortunately, we don't have a medium/tall in this particular suit. You would be closest to the medium.
Shopper Why Did You Choose This?
JOHN B Excellent for the price, esp. if you get last year's model for an additional discount.
GREG A Price and quality, best suited for the diving I was doing
