Shopper What size should I buy for 7year old?
MICHAEL M I bought a large for my 8 year old daughter. she wears a size 8
J R I bought two sets-- a small/med for my 6.5 year old who is 4 foot one inch and wears a size 2 boy's shoe, and a Lg/x-lg for my 8 year old who is 4 foot 6 inchs and wears a size 4 boy's shoe.
Shopper I'm trying to decide what size to buy my daughter? She is 12.
HAROLD R For my 8 year old (70 lbs-4' 6" tall) he is currently snorkeling around roatan island and LOVES this set, it works well and the mask silicone is soft enough to give a good seal without red marks , he does get water in the dry snorkel occasionally but I'm not sure that's the snorkels fault and not his.
If she is bigger than this I would go with a bigger set, this equipment is small.
SANDRA L The set will not fit her; the fins were too small for my 9 year old( we ordered the largest size) and chances are the mask will be too narrow too. Although of good quality, you will be better off buying an adult set, since at her age she will be able to use it for years to come. As a former manager of a scuba dive store, I recommend the full foot Avanti fins, adult size 3/4( will translate to a woman's size 5/6), adult size 5/6( will be a woman's size 7/8). For a mask and snorkel it is really important that it fits your face and is made of silicon, rather than plastic. It is worth the investment, because it will be comfortable and less likely to leak (better seal).
