Shopper Is the battery replaceable by user?
STEPHEN K Yes it is supposed to be user replaceable . However I have not actually had to replace mine yet. It is a great dive computer !
KEVIN B yes it the battery is replaceable by the user. Since I've bought mine back in early 2011 I have not had to replace the batter as of yet and have over 110 dives with it.
WILLIAM N Yes. There are detailed instructions in the instruction manual. It recommends having your UWatec dealer do it to insure a water tight seal.

LARRY B The tank pressure transducer transmitter is not required. Yes you can replace the transmitter battery yourself following the precedures in the users manual.

yes you can dive without a transmitter, you just need to have a pressure gauge on your regulator. I don?t trust a transmitter, as I have had them dump on me and then you have no tank info. Yes you can change your own battery in your computer and also in the transmitter. You just need to make sure the O-ring is good and seated properly.

How many hours will the sensor continue to pick up the signal? Will I
need to bring a back-up sensor?
COPIOUS C Unfortunately when I received my Luna...the battery was dead in the transmitter. LeisurePro is sending me a new one at this time. I haven't been able to use the transmitter as of yet. I always err on the side of caution, and always bring a back up battery for both my transmitter and computer when I dive. I don't think either battery for the computer or transmitter would quit after only 80 dives though.

WILLIAM N In the desktop software under Options/Galileo Setup, there is a list of default languages available( when Luna is connected via infared) Chinese is not one of them. There is an option for additional languages,but I do not know where one would find them.

The Luna dive computer is the newest member of the Galileo family made by Uwatec. This state-of-the-art dive computer truly is a dive true bottom time calculator, a decompression dive planner, and a depth gauge, but it also offers features that simply make diving an even great sport to enjoy, such as a sleek design, a full-tilt compass with bearing memory, an extra large display for easy reading underwater, hose less gas integration, and the option for you to input your personal information (name, diver certificate number, emergency contact information, and so forth). The Luna's alarms and signals will keep you safe at depth; the compass will keep you heading true, and the user interface will enable you to enjoy your dive without worrying about fighting with your computer while underwater. The Luna Dive Computer is a wrist mount computer that is water activated so if you forget to turn it on manual it will still calculate all aspects of your dive profile once you hit the water. Computer is altitude adjustable to 13,300' (4,000 meters) with full decompression and without decompression (gauge mode) at any altitude. Computer is powered by a user replaceable CR12600SE (SKU: AQUBY126) lithium 3 volt battery. The Luna also gives you wait to fly information, has a stop watch function, depth alarm, battery alarm, and a maximum depth rating for decompression calculations of 394' (120 meters). In gauge mode the Luna's maximum depth readout is 1,084' (330.5 meters). Computer is equipped with back lighting for low light or night diving conditions. Computer is also equipped with a digital compass that has a resolution of 1 degree and a tilt angle of 80 degrees. Computer is also a timekeeper with a quartz clock that gives time, date, and dive time display up to 999 minutes. Other features include current depth, maximum depth and a 100 hour logbook memory. The computer can also be a hose-less gas integrated computer with the addition of the SKU: UTCT Smart Tec/Z Transmitter. Computer has four modes of air, nitrox, gauge and Free Dive. With the optional SKU: UTCSMID Smart Infrared Devise you can download your logged dives and also download pictures with a 100 bitmap images as a wreck map the diver can use to orient themselves. The Uwatec Luna Computer comes with a comprehensive Owner's Manual and a 24 month limited warranty.
