New for 2012 is TUSA's Soverin BCD Jacket. This BCD has a durable 500D Cordura Nylon air cell with an internal urethane lamination for air tight integrity. The key to comfort with the new Soverin BCD is its Independent Harness System" (IHS). The IHS isolates the BC jacket's harness from the air cell, tightly supporting the tank even with changes in air cell inflation/deflation. The IHS prevents tank slippage and eliminates any gaps between the tank and your back. The Soverin BCD uses TUSA's next generation IHS featuring an integrated carry handle, additional adjustability to dial in a perfect fit and a neutrally buoyant construction allowing the diver to Shed the Lead" removing approximately 2 lbs (1 kg) of lead from their system.

The Waist Support System (WSS) significantly enhances comfort and fit by dispersing the weight load around the hips. The WSS integrates the adjustable shoulder harness system with the rear stabilizing plate and cummerbund to effectively unload the hips while ensuring a snug fit. TUSA's Ultimate Stabilizing Harness (USH) completely eliminates tank roll and delivers an amazing fit. The USH securely holds the air cylinder in place with optimally placed rails and brings the tank closer to the body increasing tank control while reducing weight.

The Soverin BCD backpack area is constructed of a newly developed 3-dimensional foam. The material is positioned in high density compartmentalized regions for the lumbar and back to offer a superior contoured fit and maximized comfort. The chest strap limits the opening of the shoulder straps for a more comfortable fit. By simply sliding the strap up or down, the user can customize the adjustment to the ideal position.

TUSA's Advanced Weight Loading System (AWLS) allows the diver to insert weights into the weight-cartridges and loading them easily into the front of the BC jacket. Additionally, with weight distribution to the shoulder area, the weighted-down feeling that is traditionally associated with weight belts is eliminated. Weight-cartridges can accommodate from 8 lbs (4 kg) to 12 lbs (6 kg) of weight in each cartridge and two rear trim pockets can hold up to 4 lbs (2 kg) in each non-dump-able pocket. The weight cartridge is easy to release in an emergency, but the safety lock makes sure that it is not released accidentally.

The new Soverin BCD Jacket comes equipped with TUSA's tried and true power inflator, depth compensating cummerbund, integrated console sleeve for routing of instrument console, safety whistle, two stainless steel and four resin D-Rings for attachment of accessories, four zippered pockets, two are large and two are lower accessory pockets, and grommets for attachment of a BCD knife. BC is also equipped with three dump valves. The BCD is available in four sizes from XS to L-XL with a lift capacity from 23 lbs (10.2 kg) to 43 lbs (19.4 kg) and comes with an Owner's Manual, LP hose and a 12 month limited warranty.
