Questions about this item:
Shopper It has few D rings, no pockets for retractors or scissors. How can I affix my computer, octo, flashlight, and cutting tool to this bcd?
STEVEN C The BCD has three D rings one on the shoulder and two on the waist strap. Should handle computer, octo and flashlight just fine. Once you start talking about cutting tools, it is the wrong BCD.
DAVID E Computer can be looped through your waist band.
DENNIS C This BCD has one plastic D ring on your right side. As far a pockets go, I've only used this in warm water with maybe 10 lbs. of weight belt. The front weight pockets were then free for storage. Worked well for me.
STEVE M You have to be creative and buy some brass clips or carabiners. Overall it its a good travel BC. I mainly use it for shallow water dives that don't require a ton of gear.
ROLAND D There is a D rind on the right shoulder where I put my octo and whistle. I clip my flashlight to the ring at the end of the shoulder strap adjusting pulls. There is also a D ring along the waist band where I clip my console. I am sure you can find enough places to clip to if needed.
DON B I ended up stitching my own nylon webbing loops onto the shoulder straps.
LINDSEY C This is not a technical BCD. If you want to attach those things i would suggest getting some bungee and tying them down. Although there is not a lot of room along the straps for storage depending on how much stuff you want to attach

DAVE M Frank, sorry , some how your q went to my spam. your reg should have the right coupler so if your hose is not on your bc take it with you and they should be able to install in no time. hope it helps.

DOUG V You would if they rent scubapro equipment.
CHRIS O Most likely the inflator hose on the rental regs should work but I would bring the inflator hose that came with the BCD just in case. If you are worried about the dive shop not being willing to swap out the inflator hose you could take a wrench with you and do it yourself. My guess is the "shop" would rather do it for you then to let you do it on your own. All the resorts that I have been to have been more then happy to help divers out. Remember they live on TIPS.
WAYNE B The LP hose connection on the BCD is a standard quick release fitting size so all rental gear hoses should clip in no problem at all
MAURICIO L I had to change the hose in my octopus (but I have quite an old regulator). This may fit in the rentals (rental equipment is not that old) and if not, it is super easy to change it (you can do it yourself)
BRIAN D Low pressure inflators have universal fittings...unless they use something else in Europe, like DIN connectors.

GEORGE K I cannot guarantee that the low pressure connector will fit ALL low pressure hoses but I can say that the connector is a standard size and does fit MOST hoses. I hope that helps and good diving.

STUART C The BCD should come with a low pressure inflator hose, and all the rental facility will need to do if theirs does not fit the BCD is screw the one provided with the BCD into the regulator. Just make sure when you have ended your diving, you leave with YOUR hose.
ROBERT R It would be unusual if it did not work. The connectors are pretty standard now. If you plan to keep diving buy a reg and computer. There are nice ones available at very reasonable prices these days.

DENNIS K This is a great travel BC. I have my own reg, but when I bought this BC I did not change to the hose that came with the BC. Most BC's now have the same connections.. Unless you are traveling beyond the Caribean or Mexico you should be alright. Best solution is to bite the bullet and buy a reg- then you know that everything
will fit and work for you.

The low pressure hose from my Reg set-up and my wife's fit.
So, yes it will fit on all set ups.
JOSE N BCD Inflator hoses are all an industry standardized size so the inflater hose on a set of rental regs should fit just fine. The only exception to this would be a BC with an alternate Octo Inflater combintion, which uses a bigger quick connect.
PETRA H The rental low pressure hose should work fine as most are standard.
You could bring the hose you recieved the BCD just in case.
ROLAND D A regular size inflator hose will fit this BC. The rental Reg sould work just fine.

DON B The connector is standard for all inflator hoses except Scubapro.
So if the rental gear supplier is using Scubapro, you can either swap out the inflator hose, or rent a BCD as well as a reg set. There is also an adaptor you can purchase, but it is probably not worth the hassle.
If you can contact the rental gear supplier before you travel you can just ask what brand of regulators the use for rental.
PRATIBH D You will not need the lp hose which comes with the bcd, most rental regs will have a lp hose. The only issue may be that it is sometimes too short

Deb W I have a Scuba Pro Air 2 BC. Would my Air 2 hose fit the inflater connection on this BC, or would I have to change the hose out?
BEATRISA K Personally, i did change it. i had Cressi BCD before, and even though i examined the high pressure inflator hose in every way, and didn't see any significant differences, i decided it's better safe than sorry :). You can also bring both to the local dive shop, so they can connect a tank to it, and assemble your gear and see. Hope this helps :)

RICHARD J Aeris inflators are smaller diameter. No new hose needed. There are adapters for atomic and I can't imagine scuba pro would not make adapter. A black plastic collar. Three eighths to one half.

RICHARD J My wife and I both use the Atomic version of the scubapro safe second. I figure if Atomic has an adapter, scubapro will also. The Atomic is sort of next generation of the scuba pro. I used the scuba pro for years until about 3 years ago. Atomic disconects from the hose to soak and dry. Fewer problems for us.

DON B You would use the Aeris corrugated hose, with an adaptor kit from Scubapro. I have the same setup. As far as the LP inflator, use either the same LP hose you have now with the Scubapro fitting.

DON B It's a "kit" made by scubapro, that will allow you to adapt an air 2 to any other sze of corrugated hose on non-scubapro BCDs. Need to purchase it from a scubapro dealer.

DARRYL H I can't say with 100% certainty, but looking up a picture of the Scuba Pro Go 2, the hose looks to be the smaller style, not the larger style, so it's likely compatible. Your question doesn't make a lot of sense, though, since if you're taking the hose off of your existing BC, to put onto this BC, who cares what size it is.
If you mean to ask, will an inflator that fits your Scuba Pro Go 2 BC also fit on the Aeris EX Lite Travel BC? The answer to that is, I think, "Probably."

I have a Scuba Pro, Lady Hawk, Air 2 BCD. If that inflater hose doesn't fit the connection on this travel BC, then I would have to take the Air 2 hose off the first stage, and put on the one that comes with this travel BC. I would then have to attach an octopus. Having an octopus to contend with drives me crazy.
I don't understand this part of your answer, "if you're taking the hose off of your existing BC, to put onto this BC, who cares what size it is". I wouldn't be taking the hose off my existing BC. I wanted to know if my existing hose would fit the connection on this travel BC.

GUSTAVO S I believe you'd need to have an Aeris or Oceanic spare air for it to work with this BCD. I'd ask a specialist at Leisurepro. I own the BCD, and its wonderful. Good luck.

Thanks for your quick answer. I really didn't think it would fit, which means I'd have to buy an octopus, as I sold the one I had with my previous BC. Guess I'll stay with what I have, as I never go over the 50 lb weight limit, anyway and the octopus drives me crazy, for some reason.

GUSTAVO S Hi. I removed the one attached to the Aeris EX and replaced it with the integrated octo I had on my Oceanic BC. It was a very simple change, you can easily do yourself. Good luck! BTW, LOVE This BC!
DENNIS K You can use the one that is on your regulator as long as the connector is the same and fits the new BC.
Craig E If you do decide to change it yourself I believe that a 3/8" open end wrench will fit the new connector. Make sure to check for leaks BEFORE you descend for the first time..!!!
Craig E The Aeris EX Lite BC uses a "standard" size couple for the inflate hose. If yours is the same, use it. If not, switch other out..! I would advise using the new hose regardless.. If you are not comfortable switching out the hose just take the new hose and your SCUBA regs in to a local dive shop..!
JAMES C You can use any inflator it is a standard connector. It is an OK BC good for travel but not my favorite Aeris BC.

JOHN D Be sure that your exsisting inflator hose is long enough for dumping air. If it is too short you won't be able to dump air from the BC. If you need to change the hose use standard open end wrenches. Hope this helps.
ALFRED P Standard low pressure hose okay
DENNIS C When my BCD arrived the inflator hose was not attached. I put it in my "save a dive" box and used the existing hose that was on the 1st stage of my regulator, no problems.
To change any hose on your 1st stage all you need is a wrench. I would suggest that you unscrew from the 1st stage with the hose hanging down. That way if any metal shavings come off they fall out instead of into the 1st stage. When you screw a hose into the reg. do it the same way, with the hose hanging down. Do NOT over-tighten! Maybe 10 ft/lbs of pressure.
KEVIN S Can't tell if your old inflator hose will fit the Ex Lite. Only way to find out is to try it. If it doesn't fit it is quite easy to remove your current inflator hose from the 1st stage with a small crescent wrench, screw the new hose in, and tighten with the wrench. No need to crank it real tight, just a bit beyond hand tightened.
Shopper im 5"8 and 154lbs. I fit in a medium 3mm wetsuit just fine but mostly dive with a rash guard and board shorts. What size should I get?
Is this though enough for trips to Palau and minor spear fishing in South east Asia?
LIAM G I am presntly diving in Cozumel with this BC. Be careful about your weight distribution, ensuring some weight in the back to keep you balanced. If your planning on taking stuff with you also becareful. There aren't many d-rings and the ones on it are plastic and easily broken. . Small, light stuff, no heavy camers, flashlights or strobe equipment. It also rides ip when on the surface
HEATHER Z I'm the same size and weight. I tried on both a small and medium in the store, both of which technically fit since the straps are very adjustable.. I found the Medium to be more comfortable since it hangs a little lower, hugging the hips. If you are planning on using the integrated weights, I would go with the medium. But, if you need room for a weight belt I would go with the small. Unfortunately I have yet to take this BC on a dive, but plan on using it this week :)

river, lake, or altitude. weight changes are somewhat easy. holds 10 lbs
non dump i put in 12. dump is in pouches so kind of hard to add. but,
when you get it its good. diving with a 3mm or skins it should be kwik.

MARK L I found this BC to be very comfortable, low drag, during dives.
Would be good for any diver annoyed by the bigger bulkier BCs.
The BC still had plenty of inflation to float me at the top of the water weighing 220lbs.
I would imagine the slim line design would be good for spearfishing, if you are scuba diving.

It's quite tough. I was surprised that it's only about 1-1/2 lbs lighter than my 20-yr old standard BCD--still in the 5 lb range. I attribute that the heavy material.
One complaint I have for a travel BCD is that it doesn't fold very small. The backpack is so rigid and the tank strap is so stiff that it's very bulky if I try to pack it in my carry-on bag. I loved it, though, during a recent trip to Bonaire. Very comfortable. (Add a D-ring or 2 though!)

JONATHAN H Yes. I also use the Oceanic AirXS as well. Make it easy on yourself, and buy the pre-assembled hose unit. It is a simple screw-on, vest-mounted octo. I have it, use it, and it is solid.

ALBERT E I am not sure, i don't own an Oceanic Air XS 2 combo reg/inflator. The BC is really light and compact.
RICHARD J Aeris uses a smaller diameter corregated hose so you will need an adapter. Either that or change out the hose to the more standard size. We use the Atomic SS1 for an inflator. Same kind of thing but adaptors are part of the kit and the Atomic unscrews so you can rinse it well and get all the sand and salt out of it. You might consider that combination. The SS1 connector also can hook up to a regular garden hose fitting to fill your BC for a good rinse.

PATRICIA S I would say XS, I am also 5'2" but weigh considerable more and wear a SM w/ straps almost pulled to the max. Once you dive w/ this BC you'll forget all about a weight belt though, the weights on the tank are awesome and the entire thing is so light, I never bothered to remove the weights (8lbs) to get out of the water. I am not crazy about the weight pocket design, since they dump from the bottom and it's easy to drop your weights, but yes, they can be used as plain pockets if that is your pref.
JAMES T I got one of these in Medium for my wife, 5'7" 145lb, athletic build, wide shoulders, broad back, not fat. She said it was too small, and I sent it back today for a Large. Now looking at the size chart and answers to questions here, I am wondering if she just didn't adjust the straps out and if the Large will be too big. I could contact LeisurePro and tell them to send the Medium back if so. She will be wearing a 3mm wetsuit under it for tropical diving. What do you think, Medium or Large?

JAMES T Thanks everyone for the responses. The Medium BC came back today from LeisurePro. I see now that when it shipped, the shoulder straps were pulled all the way tight. When my wife tried it on, it felt way too small to her. We loosened the shoulder, chest and waist straps, she slipped right into it, plenty of room, it adjusted down nicely and she is a happy diver!
To recap: My wife is 5'7" 145lb, athletic build with wide shoulders and back. The Medium is a perfect fit, and would fit someone a little smaller or larger than her as well. She will be wearing it with a 3mm wetsuit in tropical waters, but a 5mm would be fine, too, and possibly a 7mm.

JOSH S You are probably right, I am 6' and 170 lbs. It was a little snug on me but not bad at all and I had a 3mm suit on when I used it. For traveling this was a nice BC to have, not as nice as my Zeagle Ranger but the size and weight made it great for traveling. Have a great time diving!
OLE PETTER S Got a small for my wife (similar build, 10lb less, and one inch shorter). Fits her great with a 3mm. Believe a medium should work if you adjust it.
DENNIS C I have yet to use Aeris EX Lite. I bought it for my trip to Bonaire next week June 18th. I can tell you this... I am 5'8" and 185lbs, also not fat, but I have a 45" chest. I tried the BC on without the 3mm wetsuit and it seemed like I would have been better off buying an XL rather than the Large. It seems that these BC's run a little small.
I have been married for over 27 years and would suggest that you let your wife decide what fits her best. ;-)
KRISTINE P I think large will be too big but can be adjusted to fit. It is a back inflate w a waist strap and chest strap should be fine
PATRICIA S I'd go ahead and try the large BCD w/ wetsuit on. Make sure the straps are adjusted as well as possible. Do remember that the waist band will be stretchier when wet. In theory, she should be a medium, but unless you are in a hurry try on the large first, if it's not adjusted to the smallest setting, then keep it, if you need to adjust to smallest, then the medium would be the best fit.
DOUGLAS A I would say Med. I bought a XLG and think I can use a LG just fine. I did sew the waist straps (elastic the backplate) because it was annoying having the BC 1: never get tight enough and 2: literally swing around me while diving. I used it on my last vacation and I'm glad I did get it. Weight savings makes a difference for luggage and also those long beach entries here in Fl. Good luck.
CTN E I followed the sizing chart and my BCD fits fine. This BC feels different than others because it has no cummerbund and thin shoulder straps. It is a great BC for the money, it packs flat and is very light for travel. Hope it helps.
RICHARD J I would go with the medium since Aeris runs large. That being said, if she's always gonna be in a 3mm suit, the large could also work. The key is her own comfort. This thing is gonna last for years. She's right on the border between so it all comes down to her preference.

REGINA B I do not metric, but I will say that the xsmall is very small and only works with small children, about 9-10 years old.
THEODORE G I am 173cm and 90kelos ans a large works fine for me. You are going to need a weight belt if you plan to use more than 6kelos of weight when you dive.

JOHN D I think an XL will be too big. Also, I would be more concerned with a chest measurement. You don't want the BC overly tight in the chest area. Hope that helps.

Nina T The only review of worth for this BCD is that it has an elastic waist band that isn't adequate to hold the bcd to his back. In the picture it looks as if there's a clip, but it's not a front view, so can't be sure. Does anyone have any feedback on this issue (or any other issues!), as I really like the look of this BCD? JOHN E I not sure who wrote that review but my guess is they do not have much experiance with a rear inflation bcd. This is a travel bcd and an awesome one. Dosent matter if that travel is a cruise, down to the keys, or your local quarry. I have used this bcd for multiple locations with different wetsuits and depths up to 132 fsw. It has never failed me and I do not feel it "isn't adequate to hold the bcd to his back". there is a plastic clip upfront the adjusts well. I feel this bc is great for pleasure diving. I would not recommendit as a workhorse bc. So if you plan to do a lot of spear fishing or mid-atlantic wreck penatration you may want to look at a wing. Note Aeris in general tends to run a bit large. So if you normally wear a m/l I would recomend getting the medium and not the large since this bcd does not come in half sizes.
David C Do you feel that this BC is rugged enough to hold up to repeated travel? I dive a Zeagle Ranger Now and this is quite different in size and construction. Do you feel that this is an acceptable travel BC?
JOSH S I also dive with a Zeagle Ranger, and if I had the choice would use that. However the BC did perform well and the compact size defiantly made it easier to transport while traveling. I spent a week in Cozumel diving with it and I was very satisfied with my purchase of ts BC. For myself being a recreational diver who is traveling this is a great option. If your going to be diving a live aboard boat and hardcore diving take your Ranger, but if your diving while on vacation this do the job.
ANTHONY H I bought it for exactly that purpose. I have a heavy wing I use when I dive where I live but it is too heavy to travel with. The Aeris is very light and is great for simply rec' diving in tropical waters.

JOSH S I haven't used it yet, I am going to Cozumel I bought ir for that trip. It is more compact than my Zeagle Ranger and will take up less room in my luggage.
JAMES T I travel a ton and the weight and size is great. But the elastic waist strap is frustrating. Unless you are planning to affix a non elastic waist strap you may want to take a look some where else.
