Brian D Does the produce when used as a strap (not a cover) provide enough bouncy to float a mask? Or does it only float when folded over and used as a case? (maybe the case traps air when closed?)
DAVID N The strap works great, it well float a mask with no problem. It has saved my mask several times. Once you get it adjusted to the correct size it is a good strap.

It will float your mask, whether as a case or a strap. I am not sure that it will float a mask plus snorkel, though. I have had my Marsoops for 5 years and really like it. It's a comfy strap and a convenient case.
GARY A Depends how much your mask weighs. Remember Archimedes Principle.
ADAM K How well it floats is dependent on your type of mask and snorkel attached.
When used as a case, this doesn't trap air because it doesn't seal closed...it closes by 2 snaps.
Whether used as a case or used as a strap, it floats the same.
I really like this strap/case.
LEE B The strap provides sufficient buoyancy to float a mask when used as the strap. It will also float the mask when folded over the mask as a cover.
