Leah J Is this knife easy to release quickly from its sheath in emergency underwater situations?
TOMMY T this knife has a locking system which when "on" locks the knife in place. with the lock "off" you can very easily remove the knife. there is enough static pressure when the lock is "off" to hold the knife into the sheath.
Alberto T As far as I know it is very easy to release the safety on this knife and the release can be pressed even when wearing gloves. Although dexterity may be a challenge, this knife makes it so that it is not a problem. Definitely recommend it!

Shopper What size stainless steel screws do I need to replace the metal screws that will rust in saltwater? To small for Ace Hardware or simular. Maybe a hobby store? Would like to replace those screws before the knife hits the water.
PAUL H Not sure what the size is, but I am pretty sure that copper state nut and bolt would carry them. Try copperstate dot com and see if they can help.
KRIS K What screws? There aren't any on this knife. Handle is molded onto the blade tang and you use straps or ties to mount the sheaf. You would have to drill holes to use screws to mount this knife to your BCD or something else (I think my only suggested improvement on this knife).
Otherwise, I have had this knife for a couple of years and 100 dives and not a spec of rust.
