ROBERT G Assuming you are using a standard size tank (7"-8" in diameter), buy the standard band. FYI, read the specification tab, it spells it out.

RICHARD W Not sure about fit with a Mares BC. I bought this for my Oceanic and it fit perfectly and actually was a better band than the original.
ALEX S XS is the brand, not the size. The bands are standard size and I have used them on different backpacks and they work fine. Plenty of band length.
MATT N Hi, I have a set of these on my pony-size bail-out bottle and they work quite well - just check the cylinder diameter for your application, or measure with a string for a overall length, and check it against the specifications. I think you will be happy with these if they offer a set that will fit.
Shopper Do these straps have the rubber backing on them to Help grip the tank? I couldn't tell by the photo
STEVEN G No rubber backing - I used one for securing a pony tank and it works well.
ERIC Z No, they are just basic heavy duty straps with plastic buckle's and Velcro to secure the loose end.

ROBERT B No rubber backing....yet for the price they work very well. I use them for my 30 cu in Pony bottle and have gone so far as using on my 133 STL tank and adding a 80 AL tank, as a pony, and the straps work well!

These bands acheive positive grip on the tank by using the ratcheting effect of the cam buckle, but do not have a rubber backing.
I use these bands for a single tank bc as well as for sidmount bands. They work very well.
LARRY V No they do not have a rubber backing.... When used in the double strap configuration they do very well at holding most 12L and 15L tanks
SIMON H They do not have a rubber backing, I have not had an issue with them coming loose. They have a positive click on the buckle which helps in getting the cam tight. Good quality and good price for a replacement strap and a spare!
DYLAN S No rubber backing but if properly adjusted they grip very well. I use them to hold a pony tank and I highly recommend them.
CARLOS R No, but these cams are so good that you do not need the rubber inserts to get a good grip on the tank, I use a 100cf steel tank and these cams have never lost their grip, even while diving from a boat.
Shopper Do they fit the standard Dive Rite backplates (stainless or aluminum)?

LEROY B If the backplate is similar to oms, yes. I have oms bc with backplate, and they do fit that one.

an STA uses the two straps to connect to the tank and has two bolts to allow you to connect to the backplate.

MATT B Yes these come as a pair. They're basically a pair of no-frills cam bands. Very solid construction and they do exactly what you want them to do; hold your tank. They don't have the fancy clip system that the XS Scuba SS straps do. It's a nice looking system, but you can't beat these for the price and the simplicity.

RICHARD M Yes, they fit AL80's. I used them for the XS mini back inflator system. However, I quickly switched out to a true tech backplate wing system. More money, but great fit and quality. Worth the investment.

PHILIP L I use these cam bands on steel 72's, which have a smaller diameter than AL 80's. Not sure what the diameter on AL 63's is, but I think the bands will work on them as there seems to be extra room on the velcro attachment surfaces for overlap. To reiterate, I have not used these on AL 63's, though. Good luck.
BRIAN J I installed them on a Zeagle Ranger and they fit my AL 80s just fine. Also work fine for my steel HP 80 andsteel LP 95.
JOHN T I've used them on AL80's (as well as steel tanks), and the length is fully adjustable so I see no reason why they wouldn't work on AL63's as well.

JOHN T I just realized that your question was specifically about the SHORT cam bands; I have the STANDARD cam bands, which is what the subject of the email was. So just for clarity, I have NOT used the short cam bands and can't verify what tanks they'll fit -- although the descriptions says the short length is for 4.0" to 5.0" diameter cylinders, which sounds skinnier than regular tanks.

Whats in the box:Pair of Cylinder Cam Bands Tired of having to loosen the cam band each and every time you need to slide it over the top of your cylinder to mount your BCD, or even worse you have already mistakenly mounted your regulator before your BCD. Whichever the problem XS Scuba's unique cam band have a hoop/buckle to allow complete separation of the buckle from the strap webbing allowing you to wrap the band around the cylinder to mount, not having to slide it over the cylinder neck as with standard cam bands. Buckle is constructed from 316 stainless steel with higher lift on the rolling edge of the buckle to increase cam force; higher lift causes the buckle to snap into place eliminating unintentional release of the band assembly.
