JIM B The size of the slate is 8x11, the size of stadard notebook paper.

ROBERT M The one that I got was plastic coated foam board.For the price they are nice,but if you are going to be hard on them they dent easy.
FRANK T it is made of the same material the smaller slates are made from, some type of plastic.
This larger 8" x 11" model is perfect for instructional uses. Slate comes with a pencil on rubber lanyard to prevent you from losing it, also pencil holder to secure pencil to the slate. Slate is also equipped with a split ring with 360° Swivel Non-Corrosive Plastic Gate Clip to attach to a lanyard for ease of use. Instructional people are always taking notes on a dive, so the large format is ideal for their use.
