Questions about this item:
Shopper This product is included battery charger?.
Miyuki S There is no charger. This light uses 8 Disposable C"-Cell Alkaline Batteries (included). You can get a rechargeable kit. Underwater Kinetics Rechargeable Kit For Light Cannon 100 SKU: UKTRKLC which includes a rechargeable battery and charger.
CAMERON P No it did not. My experience has been that rechargeable batteries do not always give the brightness of standard batteries.
ROBERT M It's not rechargeable. Trust me, though- this light puts it OUT! It isn't called a light cannon for nothing- in fact, my dive buddies and I had many laughs over the fact that it's like a searchlight!
GARY M S yuo are going to want to order the rechargable battery
GERARD C No. This light uses regular batteries by default. You can order the rechargeable batteries with charger seperatley I think.
MYRA W THe IK Light Cann eLED did not come with a battery charger. It takes 8 x C batteries.
CHARLES M No. It uses 8 alkaline "C" batteries. You can use rechargables, but you would have to buy them and a charger separately.
NICK B This light comes with your standard, non-rechargeable batteries so there is no charger included.
You can buy the UK battery / charger for this light seperate.
Shopper As the specification say this the lights are Liquid cooled, does that mean this light can only be used in water?
John S I use it out of water on occasion but only sparingly. I am not aware of any reason not to, but I purchased it as a dive light and it is outstanding. On a recent night dive off of Maui it out performed all of the other dive lights on the dive.Back on the boat everyone wanted to know more about it.
Bobby R I have used it outside of water for brief periods and not had a problem. But I cannot say whether it will overheat if used for very long, or what damage might result if any if does overheat.
STANTON W It can be used above water. The LED's will not put out as much light as they get hotter.
RAYMOND P Although I do use this light primarily for diving, I have used it for short periods out of the water with no obvious ill effect. I have not noticed any unusual heating of the light out of the water. Having said that, I would check with the manufacturer since it isn't inexpensive.
CHARLES M No it works just fine above water. However, the LEDs heat up and produce slightly less light. I've used mine out of water about 50 times as much as I've used it in the water. My only complaint about it is that the handle attachment screw digs into the housing and frequently loosens. On a light this expensive EVERY detail should be well engineered.
Shopper hi. i am comparing the uk eled light cannon vs. the uk c8 eled. both seem ike great lights. but the cannon is actually cheaper right now. although the c8 comes with a pelican case. uk site says the cannon is twice as many lumens as the c8. so if i don't need the case, it seems the cannon is a much better buy. it is cheaper, and twice as bright. or am i missing something ?
also, i am looking at getting a gear keeper mini retractable clip to use it with the light. is this clip appropriate for this light ?
thx for any input you can offer.
rick
HIRSH L I bought the Light Cannon eLED and can't shed any info on the c8 light. I can tell you that I am very happy with the Light Cannon. Be aware that there are two different types of grips that you can order, the Pistol Grip and the Lantern Grip. I bought the Pistol Grip and am going to order the Lantern Grip since I think that will be more comfortable to carry.
It may be a bit heavy for a mini retractable clip. I purchased a heavier duty lanyard on a coiled cord with that clips together to shorten the cord for water entry. There is no doubt that the light is heavy so you want to make sure that the cord will handle the weight, especially taking a giant stride off the boat.
Bobby R I admire LeisurePro for soliciting feedback from its customers. I recently bought the UK Light Cannon and used it on about 15 dives around Key West. It is my first dive light and I do not know anything about the c8. However, I have been pleased with the amount of light it produces and it has been reliable thus far. I was concerned about the way the handle attaches - it just slides on and is secured by a small screw that burrows into the case (and requires a long phillips head to attach). I called Underwater Kinetics and their customer service person was very helpful and assured me I was attaching it correctly. I use the retractable Gear Keeper which has worked fine. It can attach to the light handle but as I said I am insecure about the security of the handle so I wrapped it around the light. I also bought the rechargeable battery pack which unfortunately did not work in the light so I had to return that for an exchange but have not received its replacement yet. I used regular alkaline batteries on my recent trip and they are drained pretty quickly. Other reviewers have complained about the quality of the on/off switch but I had no difficulty. Overall I have been satisfied with the light.
John S How does this compare to the HID light? Is it as bright and blue and is it as efficient as the HID?
JAY F I wouldnt buy another thing from Leisure pro. They delayed my order for there jeweish holidays. then I purchased the light from a local retailer and tried to get them to credit my account. They couldnt because they issued a tracking number while they were supposedly closed for the holiday. No customer service around to cancel the order. Then waited 3 weeks for the items to show so i could return, or a credit issued to my account. Looked up the tracking # and found the item was delivered to NJ instead of CA. when calling them I found out that they were again closed for a week for another jewish holiday. Still no credit, had to wait till they opened up after the holiday to find out what was going on with my money or the items. WORST CO. TO DEAL WITH EVER DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! THEY DONT CARE ABOUT EXISTING ORDERS OR THEIR REPUTATION WHEN THIER HOLIDAYS POP UP!
As for the light I dont know why there asking me to answer on this one since its not the one I purchased. I purchased the one eLED with 800+ lumens. As good if not better and brighter than my buddys HID which is only rated about 400 lumens. Recommend buying from another retailer, or checking the calendar to see if there are any more religious holidays coming up!
EDDIE S The eLED is better all the way around. I have used both the light Cannon and just purchased 2 of the eLED lights. The eLED is as bright on its low setting as the HID, almost twice as bright on the high setting. The eLED is lighter, smaller and has almost 4 times the battery life (the light will eventually pay for itself in battery savings).
All in all I like the eLED much better. The only 2 issues I have witht he eLED is the switch, I bought 2 and one of them is going to have to be sent back for a switch replacement. I think I am going to have to send it back to UK. The only other problem that I had is that you cannot lock the light when it is on; with the HID the lock was to keep the light on, with the eLED it is to keep it off.
Hope this helps; great light overall!
John S Thanks Eddie, I bought one can't wait till my new dive vacation!
DONALD S The eLED are a good light. They are not quite as bright for night diving, but they have much better battery life. The batteries last 3-4 times longer than a HID light. I use eLED as my primary light.
John S Thanks Donald,
I purchased the eLED thanks for the information.
Tyler R Does Leisurepro sell the replacement bulb for this?
David R No as ELED's are not that easily replaceable like actual bulbs
Shopper How many lumens is this light rated at?

Whats in the box:Canon eLED Light, Rubber Sleeve Lanyard and Owner's Manual In the tradition of the original Light Cannon HID, the Light Cannon eLED delivers an even brighter illumination and maintains this brightness throughout the battery life. The beam is wide enough for scanning the reef at night or exploration of the interior of a wreck. Colored filters and diffuser filters can be inserted inside the light for incredible video effects. Using the dovetail handle attachment either pistol grip or (optional) lantern grip can be attached as well as a video arm. It starts with a unique dual power electronic circuit to control the matched pair of 10-Watt LED's. Its water-cooled heat sink actually increases brightness underwater and improves burn time. For maximum illumination the Light Cannon eLed Light is the perfect solution. Unlike the standard glass envelope lamps used since Edison, the LED will not break when dropped. The life expectancy is well over 5000 hours. The light emitted by the LED (light emitting diode) is similar to sunlight and travels farther underwater than the more yellow light from an Edison lamp. In addition a power control circuit is built into the light to help maintain the same brightness throughout the discharge of a set of batteries. A tough O-ring sealed ABS and polycarbonate case with a front lens protected by heavy rubber boot, protects the components all the way down to 500' (152.4 meters). The Cannon eLED Light is powered by 8 Disposable C"-Cell Alkaline Batteries (included), or if you wish to upgrade it with a rechargeable kit the SKU: UKTRKLC is available eliminating the need for replacement power cells. With Alkaline Batteries the light has a Burn Time of 9 Hours on the high power setting and 14 hours on low. The Cannon eLED Dive Lights Dual 10-Watt LED's produces 825 Lumens of Brightness on high power and 530 Lumens on low. The light measures 7.3" x 7.1" x 3.2" (18.54 x 18.03 x 8.13 cm) and weighs 36 oz (1.02 kg) with batteries. The Cannon eLED Light is equipped with a Non-Breakable Locking Switch that Prevents Accidental Actuation when in your gear bag and also has a Protective Heavy Rubber Lens Boot for Drop Protection. Light Handle is a Pistol Grip Design and comes with an Adjustable Rubber Sleeved Wrist Lanyard. Light is available in Black or Yellow and comes with an Owner's Manual and is proudly made in the USA.
