MATHEW L The flag works well and as expected. Good value for the price.

CHAD L Works as advertised with some additional help Floats great. I used a carabiner at the base to attach line. The connection at the middle of the poles is fairly loose so I used a rubber o ring to secure it tighter. Or you could tape it. There isn't any easy way to attach the flag, so I used two black paper binder clips to secure it to the pole.

STEVEN B It works fine. I had an issue with the flag wanting to slid of the end. I wrapped a bead of electrical tap to the mast about an inch above the lower edge of the flag and then zipped-tied the flag below that bead. Problem solved....

SUSAN E It works good except you must clip the flag to the pole. If you pull the flag under water without a clip holding it on, the flag will slip off the pole.

PETER D I have two of the 2 piece flag floats, and like them a lot. However, I have made the following improvements to them: 1. If you just slip the dive flag over the top of the shaft, wind or water can slip it right back off, and you can lose the flag, which is expensive, irritating, and unsafe. I have devised a simple and cheap way to attach the flag to the shaft which still allows the flag to rotate with the wind, by doing the folloiwing: (a) I slide a 1 inch long piece of plastic hose which is bigger than the shaft onto the shaft, and loop a cable tie through the hose. The hose needs to be big enough in diameter so it slides easily, even with the cable tie through it. (b) I slide a second 1 inch long piece of plastic hose which is barely big enough to fit over the shaft down the shaft to a point below the bottom of the flag. I have to lubricate the shaft to slide this hose onto it. This piece of hose keeps the larger piece of hose from sliding off the shaft. (c) I remove the plastic snap clip from a fastex webbing attachment and thread it through the grommet on the lower cormer of the flag next to the shaft. Then I slide the flag onto the shaft, and clip the snap clip onto the cable tie. Then the flag can swivel freely, but it can't come off the shaft. If this is confusing, e-mail me at pdayton@q.com and I'll send you a picture. It only takes a couple minutes to to the whole thing. 2. The upper end of the shaft isn't attached to the float, so you can lose it. I attach the two parts of the shaft together with about six inches of nylon cord. You can attach the nylon cord to the shaft in various ways. Again, I could send you pictures of the way I attach the two parts of the shaft together. 3. I attach an anchor weight to the flag float with 3mm nylon cord. To havea way towind up the cord, I attach "U" shaped plasti hooks to the shaft with hose clmps. Again, I can send you pictures. I'd explain it in detail, but I'm out of space.

CHAD L I am pretty sure that is the flag that I bought for the float. After sliding the flag onto the top, I secured it from potential wind with standard binder clips for paper.

RUSSELL M Hi Nils, I have the flag that has a metal wire on it to keep it flying and visible. I put it on with zip ties which work great. When it is separated I put a small bungie around both pieces for travel to dive site and storage. I hope this helps. Keep Diving Russ

STEVE N I don't know about the flag you are speaking of but this float will compress considerably at depth and will occasionally not rise to the surface until you get shallower.

STEVEN B It works fine. I made a couple of stoppers on the shaft by wrapping electrical tape around the shaft and then zipped tied the flag just below the stoppers so that it can't pull off.

JEFF P yes...at least it did on the 2006 model. option #1 there is a sleeve to the left of the gromets in which the pole will slide into. option #2 you can use the gromets and cable ties.
