Questions about this item:
Robert F Is this BCD compatible with the Atomic SS1 alternate air source?
Shopper I'm 5'8 "tall and weighing 186 lbs that could be used in conquest size?
Shopper I'm 5'8 "tall and weighing 186 lbs that could be used in Soverin size?
Darren S I would recommend the size large or xlarge. I have a size medium and I am 6 foot and 150lbs. The waist is the only reason I say large to xlarge. My waist strap is a to small when I have a wetsuit on.
Michael J I'm 6' 196 lbs I have the euro L / Asia xl and it fits perfectly. There are so many adjustments on this bc that I'm sure you will get a perfect fit. I also bought the Tusa bcd knife and it's a great accessory.
Jill K D I tried one on today at a local dive shop. The size said: Euro XS/S / Asia S/M
So which size would that be if I were to order one??
DAVID I Jill, I have a many Conquest, Evoloutions, and Selenes in my dive shops rental stock. All of the TUSA's are great BC's, but most of my women divers perfer the Selene, especially those that are large busted. The Conquest is made in only one small size, and marked as XS/Small, whereas the Selene actually has two different small and xs sizes. When looking at the TUSA BC's size yourself to the Euro size, and not the Asia size. Also the Conquest is a Hybrid BC, meaning that its a combo of jacket and wing bladders. It behaves differently in the water than a Jacket style BC. Im not sure what your experience level is, but most new divers perfer a jacket style BC, over the back inflate. Good look and happy diving.
Marijn O Hi there,
I'm 6'2" tall and 205lbs, what size do you suggest? Is the harness fit the same as for the 6900 X-pert, I'm currently using a medium for this BCD. What is the travel weight of the BCD?
KEVIN C This BC has everything you could possibly want in a BC. As such, it is not designed to be lightweight or roll-up small. It is heavy and bulky. I would not consider it a travel BC. It is an incredible BC and I would think you'd be better with a Large or an XLarge.
GEORGE P I am 6'2'' tall & 215 XL fits perfectly this BCD fits and feels great
Shopper How is the BCD on the surface? i understand its a back inflation type, will it not push forward?
WILLIAM S No. This BCD is a jacket style and will not push forward.
BILL S maybe if your not experienced you will over inflate it. never had a problem with mine swimming on my back if you want to feel like a buoy by a regular one.
RUTH W I have the Tusa 3800 and upgraded to the 7000 to use with a Dry Suit. I was concerned about haivng a wing experience being pushed over. But, I'm pleased with the 7000 buoyancy and like it better than my 3800. I have a Sherwood also; Tortuga.
The Tusa has the best weight release system from my experience. I have never lost any weights like my buddies; Bear, Zeagle, Scuba and Sherwood.
Advanced Diver
96 dives.
Michael J It inflates all the way round on the sides aswell. I have had no problems with being pushed face down. I love this thing so many adjustments you'll be able to get it perfect for you.
THOMAS C It is very comfortable both in and out of the water. To keep from being pitched forward, just don't over inflate it. I love it and just wish I was using it now!
Shopper I am 6' tall and 190 pounds... should I go with the medium or large? I have a Platina Evolution L/XL.. it's big on me. Thanks Cuba Pete
BILL S I am right in that same range and use the large. You could probably get away just fine with a Medium though if you want a snugger fit.
PATRICK C I would ask will you wear 7mm or heavier exposure suit? Keep in mind this bc has a adjustable cumber bun strap you can adjust the strap up to 4 inches . It also has roughly 4 inches of adjustment on the shoulder harness. The large and xlarge both have 50 lb of lift. I am 5'8" and a cozy 230. I use the xlarge because of my belly. Good news is if it doesn't fit LP will exchange it for free to get the other one you need. You can also call tusa in California give them your measurements and they will suggest the correct size. Hope this helps I have 5 of these and love them.
Pat
Shopper Hello
What is lifting capability of this BC?
Also, is it possible to be used with double 12 L tank?
Thanks and REgards
Ivan
KEVIN C This BC is not designed for doubles. The backpack will only seat a single tank.
Shopper when it says retractor pocket what does it mean? is a retracrot built into the pocket? or does it just simply hold the retractor
PATRICK C It simply just holds a retractor. You supply the retractor.
HUSEYIN T Hello,
The retractor pocket means, in this Tusa BC, there is a small pocket, located on the right shoulder as seen on the pictures... This pocket can remove by its velcro and it named retractor pocket . There is no any rectractor apparate as you thought.

Jim J My old TUSA BC had a toggle valve on the inflator hose that allowed you to dump air without having to old the hose upwards....is this what the O.P.E.V. refers to ???Is it possible to dump air out of this BC without "raising your arm.?"
THOMAS C YES! just pull the hose, air dumps behind your shoulder.
KEVIN C I nearly always dump my air when initiating a descent by pulling the inflator 'down' toward my feet. This action opens the OPEV (Over Pressure E Valve - not sure what the E stands for. I've seen OPDV, Over Pressure Dump Valve.) This works perfectly on this BC.
DANIEL S Yes. The O.P.E.V. is a third button on the inflator that releases air regardless of its orientation. Because it is activated by pressure, it works more efficiently the more air is in the bladder. It's really convenient, but I'm always aware of which dump valve is up. I recommend this BC.
Joe S how does this bc compare to a scuba pro glide Iam looking to buy a new bc ?
DARWIN R I have been very happy with the Conquest. It fits well, has plenty of storage space and attachment sites for accessories and is easy to establish nuetral boyancy. I have never used a Scubapro glide but my local dive shop is a scubapro dealer and in my opinion unless you are going with the nighthawk this BCD will outperform the glide. Hope this helps.
HUSEYIN T Hi!
I'm a instructor diver, so I have used many different BC's.
TUSA BCJ-7000 is my best BC that I have ever used. This is so comfortable and durabl BC. Lots of D-rings, pockets and more... With its cubic design, this BC is so stabile in UW, it has a great lift capacity. I suggest you to try both of the Scubapro and TUSA BC's before buy if you have a chance.

Joe S Thank you for the info it was very helpful
Mark E what size should I buy if I weigh 165 LBS 5'4" tall and Waist 33" Small or Medium?
KEVIN C Mark, I should have said the SMALL is the correct size for you. The BC is fully adjustable so the Medium will fit as well - the Large would only work if you wear a heavily padded Dry Suit (meaning that you had lots of bulk on.) Sorry for the confusion.
Kevin
KEVIN C Hi Mark,
I have the XL, I'm 6', 250lbs, and a 42" waist. I absolutely love this BC. BTW, I've over 2200 dives over 33 years so I've had my share of BC's. The Medium is the 'correct' choice for you. However, if you wear a drysuit, are a photographer, do double-tanks, or any other type of diving that requires a more demanding setup, you'd probably appreciate the 50lbs of lift the Large offers compared to the 35# of lift on the Medium. If you tend to be a warm-water "just looking" diver, then the Medium should be perfect. One thing, however, if you're a travel diver, this is not the right BC for a thrifty traveler. It is heavy (when wet, this BC with 18# weights, tank, and reg tips the scales at 75#!) and bulky (which is why I love it - it does everything and more with ease - you'll love the built-in goody bag which depoys out the bottom right pocket - I use it on many dives to put trash I pick up along the way), but I would definitely not travel with it. When I'm ready to travel, I'll buy a travel BC. I live in Hawaii so don't feel much need to travel ;-)
BILL S Medium. and you can grow into it.
Shopper How much does this BCD weigh?
DARWIN R it has 9.5 pounds of dry weight with 4 pounds of inherent boyancy. I have had a couple of dives with mine and have loved it.
Dan E Can any knife be used with the Knife grommet on this BCD or do you have to use Tusa Knife Attachment for FK-10/11 Mini Knife????
THANK YOU
Brett H The knife grommets on these are elongated so that they will work with knives who's mounting points are 2.5" to 4" apart. This is my favorite knife and it looks like it will fit well: http://www.leisurepro.com/Prod/SQTKSL.html it's available in Ti also. To use the FK 10 or 11 you do need their special attachment.
Shopper I'm 6ft 4in tall 230lbs what sizesld I get and how big is it if some1 knows I like to travel and don't need big Bcd I know they say its a hybird but...... I also look at the Mares dragon to many choices lol?
Brett H You are on the LG / XL border, but I would suggest starting with the size LG since Tusa can run a little big. It is a very nice bc, but isn't the most compact out there, but it is a great option if you want something that will do cold water and travel.
Shopper Would this BC work with the Mares Abyss 22?
HUSEYIN T Hi!!
Tusa Conquest Buoyancy BC (BCJ-7000) can used with any regulators. It's BC hose connection end is standard for all I. stages. I'm also connecting this BC with Scubapro I. stage. You will really love this BC.
Regards,
Mehmet TUFAN
RYAN M Yes it should work fine.
RYAN M Yes it should work fine.
DANIEL S There may be an exception out there, but any BC/Regulator combo will work. The BC will come with a new LP inflator hose sized relative to the BC size. The inflator hose will simply thread into the 1st stage of your regulator.
DAVID I Yes. You may use any regulator with this bcd. It uses a standard low pressure inflator hose.
Shopper What knife is compatible with the knife mount on the side?
LeisurePro S here is the version with the blunt tip.
